A lovely hotel just by the canal within walking distance of the town centre. The staff were all very welcoming and the service was excellent. The food in Rhubarb’s was delicious and very well presented. Would stay again if visiting the area.

Our stay at The Craven Heifer was very good, the room was very comfortable and spotlessly clean. Check in was very quick and easy despite the pub being very busy. Our evening meal was very good, and the service was prompt and very friendly as was breakfast the next morning. On the whole I would have no problem in recommending The Craven Heifer to anyone who wants a comfortable stay in a quiet location with exceptional food.
In the beautiful Yorkshire Dales National Park, The Lister Arms is a quintessential English pub and AA 4-star 18th-century inn, offering home-cooked food and cosy accommodation.

The setting is lovely, very central and the room was comfortable. Breakfast and dinner were excellent. The beer was generally good but several of the ales were off. Decent wine list. Parking is easy and plentiful.

Gargrave is only a small village but there is a supermarket, garden centre and a few shops and places to eat and drink. It depends what you want from a holiday. If you're looking for "lively" then this is not the place for you. If you're happy with peace and quiet then this is it. Skipton is a lovely town to visit, especially when the market is on. If you have a car, a trip to Boundary Mill at Colne is highly recommended. You can spend a good few hours there browsing around the store. We ate at our hotel every night so cannot recommend anywhere in Gargrave to eat.

A quiet location, the local people are friendly and the eating establishments excellent. When the river is low, below the bridge leading to the Church, you can see and paddle on an old Roman road. The Co-op is well provisioned for those eating in and there is a pharmacy if needed. Ideally located to explore the Dales we visited Ribblehead, Hawes & Malham Cove.

There was nothing to dislike at Gargrave, staff very friendly and helpful, breakfast was excellent, we didn't always have dinner at the restaurant, ate in the bar sometimes and food was good. Drinks rather expensive and if staying for a week or more can turn out very expensive as spa etc are all extras. Will visit again.

All of the rooms are on the ground floor making disabled access very easy and convenient to the reception and dining room. Gargeave is in beautiful countryside and the hotel is set well back from the main road, well lit and quiet.
On a future visit I would look for a more atmospheric local restaurant in which to dine.

Absolutely everything!
The location in Gargrave village is fabulous. A very quick walk to the pub, shop, country walks and canal walks.
The house itself is just wonderful. Incredibly clean and well appointed. The decor is lovely and it has everything you could need for any length of stay. The welcome basket and treats make you feel very special.
The owner is very friendly and super helpful. It’s a huge bonus that we can bring our dog also. And there are even supplies and treats for them too!
I have to say when we first pulled up we thought it looked a bit like an upmarket travel lodge but the whole experience from start to finish was exceptional. Everything from the wonderful staff, the decor in the hotel and the food in the restaurant was surprising good and the setting was truly wonderful. I don’t think I have ever come across such helpful lovely staff . The spa was amazing and one of the best spas I have ever been too .
A charming cottage, it’s really well equipped for a holiday let, far better than others we have stayed in. The wood burner adds to the character and charm. We’re likely to book again. The location is great, Gargrave itself has lovely walks from the door with easy access to the wider Dales. The Masons arms is a really good pub, great food. The old Swan was handy.
Gargrave is a lovely friendly village with great road connections to all possible Yorkshire walks. Quite a few starts at the doorstep of the cottage. The cottage is in a quiet location but close enough to the main road. The rooms are spacious, clean and very nicely decorated. The kitchen has everything you need, including coffee pods for the Nespresso machine :)
Lovely cottage. Very comfy beds. Very home-from-home feel. A great base from where to discover the delights of Yorkshire towns and dale. Gargrave has a couple of good pubs; a local chippy; indian restaurant and a Co-op shop - ideal. Could've spent all our time in nearby Skipton town alone. Recommend a visit to Keelham Farm Shop for fresh farm produce.
Cottage was very welcoming, comfortable and homely with a high standard of fixtures and fittings. Very cosy when fire is lit. Exceptional bathroom with very comfy bath.
Gargrave is a charming village with easy access to the Dales and immediate access to the very picturesque section of the Leeds Liverpool Canal.

and the views from the restaurant across the lake was amazing couldnt recommended this place any highly a great place to stay
The Spa is lovely, well worth a visit, we just did the pool and thermal. The hotels proximity to great walking is a major bonus. The food was lovely. We eat out one evening in Malham. Grounds are very nice, with a great view in the morning from our room.
Beautiful property in a lovely location of Gargrave village within easy reach of the north west area of the Yorkshire Dales. Lovely pub and Indian restaurant within 5 minutes walk. Good public transport links.
Gargrave is a very nice village with 2 pubs serving good food. Th village green, directly outside the property is very popular and a great place to exercise your dog.
