Staff were excellent breakfast very good / afternoon tea was ordinary and very expensive for what it was/ dinner leaves a lot to be desired and extremely expensive.

The flat itself was fine but lacking some comfort as the chairs were hard and it would benefit from a sofa instead to relax on. The mattress needs replacing in my opinion as the springs have gone and its very flat once you are on it. It was clean and the area is nice but this unnecessary bombarding and holding money for so long means I wont be booking again.

Filey is an un-spoiled sea side result with miles of sand, not pebbly. There are some fantastic pubs and restaurants and there is a regular bus service to Bridlngton and Scarborough - also has a train station.

Filey is a little treasure.
Filey is a little treasure. It's not as well known as Scarborough or Bridlington and that's a good thing! The beach is immaculate and has plenty of room to stretch out on. The town centre is a little tiny and, to be honest, there's not a vast amount to do there other than eat, drink and use the beach although there are some good eateries and bars around. We found Benny's Bar and Grill this time and ate there both nights. Their steaks are fabulous! We also like the White Lodge Hotel for its garden bar, too. A rainy few days there, without a car, could be depressing, mind, I'd have thought, but welcome to the British summer! If you're looking for a few days in a peaceful, pretty little area on the east coast, and you're mobile, it's a lovely place.

Lovely resort. No funfair!
Lovely resort. No funfair! Nice promenade along lovely beach, with pleasant gardens alongside. Two Country parks within walking distance so ideal for those with young children. Ideal spot for walkers as along a coastal path and within easy reach of Bempton Cliffs, Flamborough Head, Scarborough and Bridlington.

Filey is perfect for young families, or like us, a holiday with our grown up kids, a lovely old fashioned seaside town with plenty of pubs some with live music, and good places to eat easy to get to Brid or Scarborough on bus or train.

The place is beautiful, lovely beach , facilities were spotless , and we was overlooking a pond which we could see the sunrise due , really good accommodation, easy access to pubs and most all dog friendly, and good access to get round ,
The property was very modern and clean. Every bedroom had its own en-suite facilities which was fantastic. No need to share bathrooms. The beds were extremely comfortable. The kitchen was very well equipped with everything we could have needed. The location was great and within walking distance to Filey shops and seafront and only a short drive to Scarborough. Although there is no off-street parking we never struggled to find parking spaces nearby for two cars. We will definitely return in warmer weather to make use of the lovely garden.
Hilltop House was stunning with incredible views. The little extras such as the welcome pack, milk, fresh bread and eggs made it 5 star. The house is equipped with everything you need for your stay. The sky TV package was very welcome as we had a couple of days of bad weather. The village shops and local pub are 5 minutes walk away. There is easy access to Filey, Bridlington and Scarborough. We did some walking and found easy routes straight from the house to Filey and the seaside. An excellent choice, we will be booking again.
Alison, Jim and Jackson are a joy, you are looked after like a member of the family. The rooms are clean, comfy and you have everything you need to make your stay lovely. There is parking so the stress of going out for day is eliminated as you can park on return. The guest house is well placed to see Filey and within walking distance of the town. Breakfast is exceptional with always a little extra. Would fully recommend this little gem A +
Sunrise Cove worked out really well for us (Mum, dad, 8-year old daughter and dog). Apartment was clean, modern and comfortable. The Bay resort has excellent facilities (warm, indoor pool and gym particularly welcome) and the beautiful beach is 10 minutes walk (dog really appreciated that !). Filey is a 5-minute drive with lots of places to eat and has its own well maintained seafront to stroll along. We would definitely go back !
Location is perfect as a base to explore Filey, Bridlington and Scarborough .
Apartment was very clean and in a quiet location a short walk from the meadow and beach which was lovely for the dogs.
The Bay resort has everything you need and Filey town is easily accessible for take aways etc.
Communication easy with quick response.
The hosts were brilliant at communication before my stay, and I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Athol House, where the guests' comfort was obviously their focus. Every little detail was considered , and the location was ideal for attending gigs at the Evron Centre during the Filey Folk Festival.
The location of the Hotel was perfect, close enough to the centre of Filey but far enough away to avoid excess noise. The hotel staff were great and served a delicious breakfast.
A very large, comfortable bed and a very good shower.
Good tea/coffee in the room and fresh milk available.
The hotel was really nice in a central area of Filey , very clean , lovely room , breakfast was very good with ,plenty of choice , the owner chris was very friendly and attentive and made us feel really welcome , would definitely stay there again and recommend to friends and family
We enjoyed our stay at Bay Filey. The little house had all the amenities we needed and we felt comfortable during our stay. We were very warm and felt very safe in this area. THe house had two sofas and all appliances which was great for self catering and relaxing.
Hotel was in a perfect location overlooking the beautiful wide sandy beach of Filey. A beautiful sunrise in the morning. The food was the best we had tasted for two weeks and a nice end to walking the Cleveland Way.
Excellent location with great views over the bay. Hotel looked like it had been recently refurbished & redecorated, everything looked very clean and new. Food in restaurant (dinner and breakfast) was very good.
Everything at The Southgate was excellent.
