Brilliant location for access to the mountains, meadows and sea, with good view of the meadow. Very convenient by public transport.
Toilet Paper: The single toilet roll provided was consumed within the second day of the stay. For the sake of niceness, a second roll should be made available at all times so it is not necessary to request it. On the following morning (second morning, 3rd day), more toilet paper was requested (an activity that shouldn't be necessary) and first attempt to provide it was approximately 2 hours later. More than enough time to be entirely caught uncomfortably up the proverbial creek - there were no supplementary facilities elsewhere to make use of.
Towels: We showered when we arrived to remove the fatigue of travel, we showered in the morning on the first full day, then went out for the day and returned to the same wet/damp towels on our return. I understand now, that they provide towels on every second full day of the stay (I understand this only from inference, as the only time towels were replaced was on day 3), meaning we enjoyed two sets of towels during our five night stay. I would say this was around 4 sets short of comfortable.
I would also say, that if you don't intend to provide fresh towels each individual day then this should be advised to the guest so they are clear when and how fresh towels can be obtained or will be provided.
Soap: This is a holiday stay for hikers, mountain climbers and beach goers. Sweat will be exuded, salt will be gained and showers (with soap) will be required. Unfortuanately the soap provision fell short of the requirement. We had seen it fall to critically low levels on day 3 and hoped that after we left the house on day 4 this could be their chance to shine. Really sadly, this was missed during a perfunctory room service that left us with clean mugs for the first time in three days (!) I used the hand wash as bubble bath - I'd just walked 20 miles, I deserved it.

The heating didn’t work properly we had to have someone come out to fix it, they couldn’t fix the underfloor heating. Had no hot water for a bath or to wash the dishes, contacted the vendor with no response, so would not recommend. Very dissatisfied

As we have family there, we did not see perhaps all this place has to offer. We are however aware that some businesses have since left in the past few years. We ate at 1957 which is in the next village and comes highly recommended. Dyffryn is easy to walk around as it is not that big.

My wife and I travel from the West Midlands to the Dyffryn...
My wife and I travel from the West Midlands to the Dyffryn area at least twice a year and have been doing so for 35 + years.
It is a beautiful coastline with wonderful views over Snowdonia and surrounding countryside.
Lovely beaches, country pubs and walks.
It is one of our favourite places to have holidays and we will continue to visit as we do now if not more.
The staff were very welcoming and friendly on arrival and throughout the duration of our stay. Breakfast was a good variety and the hot food was very tasty. The hotel and rooms were very clean and fresh towels and lovely toiletries were available along with tea and coffee facilities. The location is absolutely wonderful with stunning views and a lovely garden to enjoy a drink. The beach is about a 15 minute walk away but a lovely walk all the same.
the hotel is more of a inn really, not a hotel. I asked for a double bed and it was 2 singles pushed together which did make sleeping in it uncomfortable. the toilet and shower areas were both small and a bit cramped. The staff were good and helpful food was to my like. 6 out of 10 for me.
The location is perfect for exploring the local area. The building has a lot of character. The staff are very friendly and the breakfast was fantastic.
Talybont Beach is beautiful and was quiet when we were there. We ate in Llanbedr, but came back to the hotel for a night cap.
Within easy reach of railway station, village, beach etc. Facilities excellent. Because I was leaving early, the hoteliers provided a wide range of breakfast opportunities for my onward travel. Kept me warm during a particularly cold and windy night.
Good location.well equipped bedroom and very good breakfast.Public areas were poor lounge bar did not exist and decor dated For the price of Of £125.for B&B I certainly expected more, many of booking .com 4 star hotel are in this price category
Nice and peaceful lovely room clean and tidy first class breakfast very convenient for the train and only a ten minute walk to dyffryn beach and club would definitely stay again also a great selection of drinks to make in your room
The owners /management were very friendly and helpful.
We were able to get a go breakfast even though we missed the time during the breakfast window that the kitchen stayed open. The smallness of the hotel made for a unique stay.
Hotel setting was beautiful. Staff were really friendly, breakfast was excellent with a huge range of cereals, nuts etc. as well as the usual cooked items. Room was very comfortable and had a distant sea view.
Niice location, not only close to the the best sand beach in UK (any other beach in uk has similar fine sand as Morgan Dyffryn?), also not far from access to any walk to Snowdon.
Lovely hotel Jo and Richard were very helpful and friendly felt at home. Was a last minute booking to beat the London heat close to beautiful beach very restful break
