A nice market town with excellent facilities.

A nice market town with excellent facilities. We ate at the Titash which was very good, Naxos, twice which was excellent and had fish and chips from Rumbles Fish Bar which was OK. We drank in the Whalebone which is typical Wetherspoons fare as well as the Swan and the Crown Hotel both of which benefitted greatly from friendly staff. I would recommend the Norfolk Cheese Company and Goddards the butcher both of which were top-notch. All of the aforementioned were within a two or three minute walk of our accommodation, the Beehive which I would not recommend.

Market square and good shopping facilities and places to have a meal - if in Downham, check out The Cave Restaurant, who provided us with a delicious meal - definitely the place to eat, which is really comfy, spacious and nicely decorated, with friendly, courteous staff. Downham could do with a Costa Coffee 😆

Quiet market town and worth a look around. Limited selection of restaurants within walking distance 2 supermarkets in the centre, Tesco and Morrisons Leisure Centre 15 minute walk A number of pubs but a couple were not geared up to families in our opinion

It was a great base to visit other areas, plus a lovely village with a great stay at castle hotel and lovely meal at the local Italian restaurant. We will definitely going back to stay at The Castle Hotel and Downham Market. Haughton Manor was marvellous, great exhibition and wonderful gardens.

Wished we had been able to stay longer.

Wished we had been able to stay longer. Downham Market is close to Kings Lynn and Sandringham which are worth a visit. We at the The Castle in the bar with the locals fantastic atmosphere, food was good but I couldn't eat all my 12 roast potatoes that came with my meal. Great staff, made you very welcome would definitely return.

So glad I found this place. The rest of the wedding party had booked in at a local hotel so when I came to, it was fully booked and im so glad it was! This place is wonderful and had everything we needed for our weekend away celebrating our friends wedding. Literally a few minutes walk from the local shops and wedding venue. I didnt feel restricted here like I would staying in a hotel. You have a fully working (lovely) kitchen and large bathroom. It was like a home away from home. Would definitely recommend and would love to return.

The Crown Hotel is a quaint and quirky old Free House built in the 16th century, with renovations in the 19th century. As was to be expected, the bedroom was smallish, but clean and comfortable, with a double bed, some space to work at a desk, and a fair amount of storage space. Water pressure and heat control in the shower were both very good. The room was quiet, and free on site parking was a bonus! The location was very convenient for our visiting family in Downham Market.

I was in Downham Market for a wedding and the Tree House was a wonderful place to come back to after a long day of travelling and then after a long night of dancing. The location was perfect, so close to the train station and to food shops. Take away places only a few steps away. The big TV was a nice surprise. Comfortable bed. Will definitely stay here again if I'm ever in the area.

Didn't see much of the owners but they were very pleasant and always on hand if you need them. Comfortable relaxing apartment. Couldn't be better placed for all Downham Market facilities. Although it was self catering it was a nice touch to have fresh milk in the fridge for when we arrived and a nice little snack basket. Own parking space on the premises. Recommended.

Set in a beautiful location with the great river Ouse flowing past the Denver village with many walks and beautiful views. Lodge is beautiful and bonus with the hot tub. The village of Denver is well situated in between historic Ely and on the outskirts of Downham Market. We will definitely be returning here.

I liked the old English character of the hotel. The room was clean and comfortable and had a modern bathroom. The staff was friendly and looked after us well. The pub was a true experience, fireplace and furnishings straight from the 1800’s. We could walk all over town from this location.

We spent 3 nights at the Beehive which was perfect for two people. It was spotlessly clean and cosy, the location on the High Street was great, with all the amenities of the lovely little town of Downham Market on the doorstep. we wouldn't hesitate to book here again.

Lovely traditional feel to this hotel. The staff were all exceptional. Very friendly and always happy to help. A nice, honest, family run hotel. The breakfast was cooked fresh and used quality local produce and was the perfect start to the day.

We were allowed to park the car down a siding from the hotel which was useful. A member of staff helpfully gave us batteries for the TV remote so that it worked.
