Luxurious rooms with a very comfy bed. Enjoyed the privacy and quiet from having a balcony room in the boat house. Rooms have lots of little touches like ground coffee and Scottish fine soap company toiletries. Something for everyone at breakfast and you are able to have a cold option as well as something from the hot choices. Highly recommend booking a table in advance for dinner - food and cocktails are excellent but it is a very popular place.

An absolute gem, we travel extensively and this is the best B&B we have stayed in anywhere. Joyce and Garry are exceptional hosts, friendly, knowledgeable, flexible and very welcoming. We had a large comfortable room with a balcony and views over the river Dee & beyond. The breakfasts are well-cooked, beautifully presented, very tasty and there is a great choice - we loved the vegetarian haggis and Garry's award winning marmalade's. Its an ideal location for a huge number of walks, visiting Balmoral or walking into town where there is a good pub( basic but good food) or an Indian restaurant. There are some lovely touches too - chocolates in your room, honestly bar where you can enjoy a drink on the pretty terrace, bathrobes and fresh flowers throughout the main areas. Its more than a B&B Joyce and Garry share their beautiful home which is delightful. We look forward to our next visit.

Dinnet is lovely, very small village with stunning countryside. A lovely place to stay particularly in summer months and to explore by walking, cycling or driving.
It is very rural and use of a car advantageous to explore surrounding area, eating out etc.
Access to taxis is limited although believe there are buses. Not there long enough to explore further as there for an event.

Beautiful small village, quite and peaceful but with a hotel...
Beautiful small village, quite and peaceful but with a hotel/bar if you need it. Within easy striking distance of shopping/restaurant facilities and close to all the natural beauty which surrounds.
We liked everything during our short stay. A very good Hotel with welcoming staff and good facilities. Dinner was very good and the breakfast was one of the best we have had. Fresh, local produce and cooked just for us.
Our room was comfortable and the heating was in our room was just right for us. The room also had a private veranda overlooking the lawn and gardens that we enjoyed while having a cup of tea.
The lodge we stayed in was lovely, clean, very well stocked with everything we needed. There was a great woodland walk behind our lodge the took us straight down to Loch Kinord, perfect for us and our two dogs. We had a very relaxing , enjoyable family break. The hotel is an easy drive to Braemar, Ballater, Aboyne and all the local activities. We will definitely visit again
It is a traditional hotel, with an old interior. The receptionist was friendly and parking was available on site. The bathroom is well-lit. An ironing board and basic amenities were included. There's also a ground-floor balcony with table and chairs.
The hotel is a 20 mins drive from Balmoral Castle which was convenient.
The Lodge is in a beautiful location on the edge of woodland and a short distance from Loch Kinord. For up to 4 people, the Lodge is spacious, quiet, reasonably comfortable and adequately equipped. There is a good hot water system and heating. There are 4 electric car charging points in the car parking area.
Lodge was comfortable, in a very pleasant position on the edge of the woods and was very conveniently located for us as visitors to Deeside Gliding Club. Although the Lodge had no washing machine, the hotel provided a good washing service at reasonable cost. The shower in the Lodge was excellent.
Great location near Loch Kinrod, beautiful trails right from historic hotel. Most excellent dinner, comfortable fireplace/bar seating, exceptional owner host/hostess. Good mix of beautiful historic and new updated features. Lots to do for many days in outdoors.
The hotel has a very friendly atmosphere and our room was very comfortable and clean. The staff were always on hand and were relaxed and very welcoming. Dinner was delicious and we were hard pushed to eat an equally tasty breakfast the following mornings!
The hotel was very friendly and well appointed. Our room was of modest size, with a four-poster bed, but it had a large balcony overlooking the grounds and also a large bathroom. The breakfasts and dinners while we were staying there were all excellent
Beautiful area and the photos don't do the hotel justice. Beautiful porches/balconies, great location for Balmoral or outdoor recreation.
Breakfast was terrific and the staff was attentive to our every need.
Hope to come and stay here again soon!
Location is beautiful. Lodge is well equipped and reasonably comfortable. Few facilities in Dinnet bur within easy each of Aboyne and Ballater for shopping and eating. Great base for touring the area.
The owners and staff were very welcoming. The hotel was warm and comfortable. The food was excellent. We enjoyed having a balcony. The atmosphere was very relaxed and friendly. A great place.
Breakfast is perfect just enough to get your day started remember this is a 3 star hotel and what they offer is more than what you would expect well done 👍
Quiet hotel half hour drive from Braemar and the Cairngorm mountains. Nothing flashy, looks like it was once a good small hotel but feels a it tired now.
