Dinnet is lovely, very small village with stunning countryside. A lovely place to stay particularly in summer months and to explore by walking, cycling or driving.
It is very rural and use of a car advantageous to explore surrounding area, eating out etc.
Access to taxis is limited although believe there are buses. Not there long enough to explore further as there for an event.

The cheerful smiley welcome.
The cheerful smiley welcome.
The lack of rush and noise everywhere. The place simply did what it does very well - a warm, quiet, friendly place with pleasant rooms, an imaginative menu offering a variety of food which must suit most. people, superbly cooked and presented by jolly staff.

Beautiful small village, quite and peaceful but with a hotel...
Beautiful small village, quite and peaceful but with a hotel/bar if you need it. Within easy striking distance of shopping/restaurant facilities and close to all the natural beauty which surrounds.
We stayed in one of the cabins, which were equipped with everything you need. And located in a quiet environment apart from the hotel, without being troubled by other guests. Beds were OK but not the best, and some facilities needed some work, but the peaceful location, very close to the beautiful nature, totally made up for this. Dinnet is very small and only has a nice hiking trail around Loch Kinord to offer; however it is close to other Cairngorms places and many castles as well.
The lodge we stayed in was lovely, clean, very well stocked with everything we needed. There was a great woodland walk behind our lodge the took us straight down to Loch Kinord, perfect for us and our two dogs. We had a very relaxing , enjoyable family break. The hotel is an easy drive to Braemar, Ballater, Aboyne and all the local activities. We will definitely visit again
The Lodge is in a beautiful location on the edge of woodland and a short distance from Loch Kinord. For up to 4 people, the Lodge is spacious, quiet, reasonably comfortable and adequately equipped. There is a good hot water system and heating. There are 4 electric car charging points in the car parking area.
Lodge was comfortable, in a very pleasant position on the edge of the woods and was very conveniently located for us as visitors to Deeside Gliding Club. Although the Lodge had no washing machine, the hotel provided a good washing service at reasonable cost. The shower in the Lodge was excellent.
Great location near Loch Kinrod, beautiful trails right from historic hotel. Most excellent dinner, comfortable fireplace/bar seating, exceptional owner host/hostess. Good mix of beautiful historic and new updated features. Lots to do for many days in outdoors.
The hotel has a very friendly atmosphere and our room was very comfortable and clean. The staff were always on hand and were relaxed and very welcoming. Dinner was delicious and we were hard pushed to eat an equally tasty breakfast the following mornings!
Beautiful area and the photos don't do the hotel justice. Beautiful porches/balconies, great location for Balmoral or outdoor recreation.
Breakfast was terrific and the staff was attentive to our every need.
Hope to come and stay here again soon!
Really nice hotel, ground floor room had a private balcony. Superb breakfast.
Very stylish in a traditional way, and we booked because it was dog friendly.
Lovely walk in the grounds through a woods which the dog appreciated.
Handy for balmoral
Jenny & Andrew very welcoming to their hotel and obviously inspire the helpful and efficient approach of all their staff. Presentation of food excellent. Hotel location very good for Royal Deeside amenities. No problem with car parking.
Haven't stayed for 2 or 3 years, but delighted to return. As I remember, excellent hotel, comfortable rooms, great selection of drinks, helpful and knowledgeable staff. Restaurant is truly outstanding, can't wait to return
Location is beautiful. Lodge is well equipped and reasonably comfortable. Few facilities in Dinnet bur within easy each of Aboyne and Ballater for shopping and eating. Great base for touring the area.
Breakfast and dinner food was excellent . Hotel took dogs which was good.
Hotel downstairs facilities were fair and location was very good beside the Deeside Way and close to Loch Kinord.
Breakfast is perfect just enough to get your day started remember this is a 3 star hotel and what they offer is more than what you would expect well done 👍
Quiet hotel half hour drive from Braemar and the Cairngorm mountains. Nothing flashy, looks like it was once a good small hotel but feels a it tired now.
Everything was lovely. My room was really nice and warm. Breakfast was first class and staff very nice. A lovely country hotel Will definitely recommend
