The railway theme is very interesting even for those who might not be rail buffs. Lots of nice details, including the carriage room with books and pictures. It even had a microwave, which I thought was a useful addition.
With a charming oak-beamed restaurant, this former motel offers home-cooked food and real ales. Dartmoor Lodge is on the edge of South Dartmoor, surrounded by scenic Devonshire countryside.

Love the hotel and the location and plenty of nice places to visit within less than an hours drive. This is the second time at the hotel and the updates to the hotel are great. Particularly love the outside bar and other areas dotted around the hotel. Very dog friendly and our dog loved all the attention - and treats she got while there. The staff are amazing, friendly and very helpful. The buffet breakfast was well cooked and delicious. If we get the chance we will definitely go to the hotel again.

Light airy room. Breakfast and dinner bought there were good. Staff couldn’t be more helpful, especially as I had a small mobility scooter that needed charging at night.
