Crewe Hall Hotel & Spa - Cheshire, hotel in Crewe

The 17th-century Grade I-listed Crewe Hall is set in extensive grounds in the Cheshire countryside, with historic Jacobean and modern architecture.

A magnificent building, full of features like pillars, stained glass, old world lighting. The staff were very professional both in reception and in the brasserie restaurant where we ate both dinner and breakfast. Our room was in a modern block with a good indoor connection to both the main building and the brasserie. The room was well appointed and very comfortable

My fiancé was born near crewe and we have many family ties there so we always love going to visit. It's so relaxed and there's so many beautiful areas to visit. Food and drink is so much cheaper than London, highly recommend The horseshoe on north street for a drink and entertainment on a Saturday night, The woodside is a cheap and cheerful pub for food and huge play area for kids, and the rising sun at Wistaston if you prefer something more special. We also highly recommend Snugburys ice cream parlour and farm in Nantwich. Amazing flavours and all homemade.

The architecture inside the Hall was stunning.

The architecture inside the Hall was stunning. We were able to walk around and admire it all due to there not being a function on. We ate in the restaurant for our evening meal and for breakfast. We had an overnight stay and enjoyed using the leisure facilities which were top class.

First time staying in a HI Express, more usually staying in Premier Inns, but on this occasion the nearby PI (where we have stayed before) was significantly more expensive, so chose & tried HIE for the first time. Have to say that I was impressed, not just with the excellent price, but also with the quality of the product. Large comfortable double-bed, roomy & well fitted bathroom with walk-in shower & quality washing products provided. Parking beneath the hotel, & really convenient for central Crewe. Would recommend!

We stayed at this hotel as it was a midway point on our route. The rooms were basic but very large, clean and comfortable. We were too late for an evening meal and after seeing the menu we were gutted, it looked amazing. Breakfast was delicious in the morning. We had our dog with us which they did didn't change extra for and allowed her to join us for breakfast in the morning.

We definitely recommend everyone visiting Crewe to stay here, due to its proximity to town. The property is not only well maintained and has everything that a traveller requires. Azeem has done a great job in communicating and helping us. Overall, we have enjoyed the stay and will consider to rebook in future.

The reception team were very friendly and helpful, and tried very hard to help us (see below). The breakfast was perfectly reasonable and the rooms were tidy and clean. The area was quiet and felt safe. No problem finding a car parking space even though the hotel was busy.

The hotel is a traditional one in an old building with character. Being right next to Crewe Sation was very handy for excursions by train. There appeared to be a shortage of staff but those on duty did their utmost to please especially the lady manning the reception desk.

I had a very pleasant visit to a hotel in a lovely setting, while still being handy for the M6. Strangely enough I had previously stayed at the hotel some 30 years ago when working in Crewe, so it was a nice tip down memory lane.
