ibis Styles London Gatwick Airport, hotel in Crawley

Reopening after a total refurbishment and extension, ibis Styles London Gatwick offers an onsite restaurant and modern rooms, just a short drive from Gatwick Airport terminals.

Location worked well. There's a direct bus from both terminals that stops outside and frequent, opposite a huge Tescos. Hotel decor is a retro style, nice seating, and quirky pieces dotted about. Room was spacious, quiet, comfy and clean with the best aircon! The in-room T&C facilities were a welcome sight as was the Bar on the ground floor. I'll stay again.

FAQs about hotels in Crawley

Historic Gateway to Gatwick

The Sussex market town of Crawley is just south of Gatwick Airport, London’s 2nd busiest passenger terminal after Heathrow.

Its train station links directly to Gatwick, as well as to Victoria Station in London to the north, and Brighton to the south. Set roughly midway between the 2 cities, the town has long been an important stopping place. One of its 17th-century coaching inns – the George Hotel – still exists under the name of the Ramada Crawley Gatwick and is available on Booking.com.

However, the town’s history dates back much further than that. Records show it as being a market town as early as the 13th century, and its central Goffs Park has a museum containing some Stone Age remains found here.

Tilgate Park to the south has a lake, nature reserve and one of Crawley’s 3 golf courses. The town’s other leisure activities include bowling, a cinema and a collection of restaurants and pubs. The high street is a mix of historic buildings and modern shops, and more stores are found at Crawley County Mall.

Practically all of the Crawley hotels, guest houses and country houses provide parking and a few also have features such as swimming pools and gyms.

everything was good, but I had to move to another room as we had a problem with the toilet as would not flush. Also, Every night we went back into room the electronic key would not work and had a 5 minute walk back to reception to re programme key. One evening we had to do this twice. On a positive side, the staff were all friendly and polite

Nice enough satellite town for London. Did not stay long enough to get a thorough insight into the place. Seems busy but not hectic. Couple of nice galleria/mall type places and a really good chippy just off the town centre.

Historic town with character, real ale houses and many local shops, good rail and bus transport links and detailed town maps, great little daily market next to large shopping centre at train and bus stations recommend Dixies chicken it was delish and a rival for KFC. The snooty Fox at three bridges station has great ales and friendly bar staff.

Everything was just perfect a classic authentic looking pub style hotel with very cozy fire place in the dining room and very comfy and cozy rooms. A pity there is no meal service as this place screams for a Sunday roast and the classics on a menu as a steak with 3 choice sauces, a pizza, a burger, a crab cake with greens, a classic fish and chips with mushy peas and tartar and two salads. That would make it the place to be with everything it needs (this is my personal opinion also taking in mind I am a private chef)

The rooms were clean as were the public areas. Staff were friendly and polite. However, whilst the food was good it was of a low standard and offered at an outrageous cost....b/fast was a plentiful buffet but £16 was steep.

No bar had to travel to nearest village, did-basic meal s, dining room not inviting, would have spent the night with a meal couple of drinks but : staff not amicable with conversation ( quite rude) quite strange why they are in this occupation ? i can guess but not appropriate for me to put on this review. Very large and spacious home, comfortable beds, squeaky bathrooms, clean & tidy house overall. We were really pleased that we had the barbecue and necessary utensils, including coals and lighters. The ping pong table was the main attraction of the house. The kids enjoyed running around in the large garden. Close to the Three Bridges Train Station and town centre. Was perfect for us. We will definitely use it again if we'll need accommodation in Crawley.

This quaint inn is located in a 300+ year old building that has been beautifully updated, while preserving its charm. The staff is wonderful, friendly and helpful and the location near Gatwick made it easy for our purposes. All of this and it is an incredibly good value! We only got to stay one night, but are ready to come back for a longer visit! Skip the cold, charmless, expensive airport hotels and stay here! You will be glad you did. 🙂

You would need a car, tucked away location, about six miles to Gatwick Airport. only one pub close by, in the middle of a housing estate and Crawley town centre is a taxi ride away, BUT other than what I have said, very good value for money, rooms were clean and tidy and can't understand why some people have given a bad review, clean and tidy.

Location was good, and the pool was good (pay extra £4 pp). Staff were very pleasant. This was a budget option so I have to be realistic, but premier inn understand the basics of a good hotel better I would say. Family room size was okay, although due to decor all a bit dark.

It is a lovely hotel, we ate in the restaurant and it was busy due to an England world cupgame but good atmosphere. Nice food but not so great when you get the starter and main at the same time. We were the 1st ones for the breakfast buffet, it was a nice cooked breakfast.
