The room I stayed in was stunning, with high ceilings and period features but still has modern features and facilities. The bathroom was beautiful and a great shower. A great touch is the breakfast hamper and a fridge with juice, yogurt, water, fruit and a cheeky chocolate! I would love to stay again. The staff were lovely too. Karaoke on a Thursday night may also be something to consider.

This place has function rooms for birthdays/weddings/etc, the hotel rooms are also relaxing, it also has facilities like The Gym, indoor pool with Steam Room, Sauna and Hot Tub, it also had a lovely bar called The Pulse that serves great food, and has kids colouring books and games for babies. This place just doesn’t have a hotel it is also a golf club where people can play golf.

Coggleshall is a pretty little village in Essex .
Coggleshall is a pretty little village in Essex . It isn’t big by any means but ample shops with lovely pubs and restaurants, everything needed for a quiet get away ! We stayed at The Woolpack pub (our first stay there and will definitely be going back) it was fantastic, a beautiful room, had a lovely lunch and such friendly staff . We ate at Ranfields Brasserie where we go every year for 3 birthday celebrations and it it such a fab restaurant with faultless food and service

Such a lovely 1400 rustic pub
Such a lovely 1400 rustic pub
Staff were so accommodating, going that extra mile
Even though the owner was behind the bar she went out of her way to help me with the WiFi
She also put some syrup pudding aside as there was only three left
The room was lovely and cosy , the bathroom was spacious with a huge shower
The only negative I would say is the breakfast was a bit disappointing! Not the best quality and would have preferred a fresh Croissant and a tasty granola with small packets of cereal as my husband doesn’t like muesli. Orange juice was lovely and a good selection of hot drinks with an option to ask for more

It's a really nice hotel in a stunning location and has amazing facilities such as a top class gym, lovely swimming pool with sauna, steam, and jacuzzi (all included in booking). It's got an amazing restaurant and bar however it is abit over priced but worth it! Staff are really friendly and helpful and it has a massive car park! Beds are really comfy and rooms were very spacious! Only things I found were that the roads leading up to it had no pavements, the nearest train station is a few miles away (not sure where busses go from) but you may need a taxi to get there!

The Front Of House Staff Are So Welcoming And Made...
The Front Of House Staff Are So Welcoming And Made Everything Smooth And Easy Just With Their Compassion. Enjoyed The Spa Facilities For A Short Time In The Morning As We Arrived Late The Night Before But It Was Lush And I Wish We Had Arrived Earlier. That’s The Plan For Another Time! Thank You All :-)
The room was nice but very tired, it was clear to see that parts of the hotel were being decorated and that hadn’t got to our room yet but wallpaper was peeling of the walls and the furniture was’t the best. We were in the Garden suite and being straight across from the main doors onto the top floor made it very noisy.
The hotel is situated in a beautiful place with clearly a well looked after golf course, although we didn’t use the gym or pool we could see that the amenities were good.
Perfect location in the heart of Coggeshall. Lovely welcoming and friendly service which really made our stay. Decor in bedrooms was a little shabby but they were impeccably clean, with nice quality bedding and towels. On arrival I asked for a jug of non-dairy milk for my tea - they didn't have any so the receptionist went to the local shop to buy some - so helpful.
Staff all very friendly and helpful and interested in their guests. Superb full english breakfast included in price. The room was tasfully decorated and clean. Easy access to rooms. Being a pub based hotel, does not have all the facilities of a larger hotel, but if you want a friendly warm peaceful environment then this hotel rates highly.
The room was very nice and very comfortable . First class shower. Best in England and in Europe. The lighting was also the best 4 start hotel we had in this European trip. Very efficient breakfast with staff extremely nice attitude. We would love to go again. Thank you for the lovely stay. God bless you all.
First of all Staff were very friendly and welcoming, location was good for the wedding we were attending (at the compasses). The rooms were clean. It was great to have a bar downstairs where we could have a drink with friends and family also staying at the hotel. Lots of breakfast options available.
Our 2-night stay was not expensive, and we made full use of the swimming pool, sauna, jacuzzi, etc, going there twice a day. The hotel was near Marks Hall estate and Coggeshall, places we wanted to visit. Room was comfortable and clean. The bar served very decent food for a fair price.
The room was simply amazing, absolutely massive with a similar sized bathroom. Coggeshall is a really good place to visit with all the charm of Lavenham but minus the crowds, if you don't like karaoke avoid Thursday night. Some of the singers were excelleht btw
It was all OK. The hotel was nice and the staff very nice. My room was generally fine. Food choice was good, service prompt and friendly (breakfast). I enjoyed a meal in the bar on the evening when I arrived too.
The room was beautifully presented and very clean. The added touch of a Tassimo coffee maker, fresh orange juice, milk and the breakfast supplies was amazing. I wish all hotel rooms were like this! Thank you.
Beautiful location and staff were pleasant and helpful, couldn’t fault them at all. Food was well cooked and very reasonably priced in the hotel and spa.
Hotel building was lovely as all the very old features had been retained. Location was great for the venue we were attending. Beds were very comfortable.
