Canterbury Hotel Cottages and Apartment's, hotel in Chartham

A short walk from Canterbury city centre and its world-famous Cathedral, this privately-owned hotel is set within a Victorian townhouse, amid 2 acres of well-maintained grounds.

Overall breakfast was good but the coffee quality was poor and no one around for service. Eggs were only scrambled so I went into the kitchen to ask for poached. What arrived was perfectly cooked but not everyone has my nerve to do this. For £150+ per night I would expect service at breakfast for tea and coffee and eggs choice. Young man from Afghanistan on reception when we arrived at lunch time on Friday was very polite and friendly. Other people on reception were not friendly but ok.

Canterbury Cathedral Lodge, hotel in Chartham

In the private and peaceful grounds of Canterbury Cathedral, this stylish lodge offers free Wi-Fi, hearty breakfasts and scenic views. Canterbury’s historic centre is a 2-minute walk away.

The location inside the Cathedral precinct makes it unique as well as quiet and peaceful. It was wonderful to wander the grounds after the tourists had left. The location was secure and very safe. The staff were very helpful and the breakfast was excellent. Whilst it is a fairly modern building it seemed to feel intimate and special. The room was clean with a great view of the tower. We enjoyed having a drink on the roof garden. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone wanting a unique, quiet, safe and kind of spiritual place to stay.

Number 8, hotel in Chartham

Located within 500 metres of Canterbury Cathedral and 1.1 km of Canterbury WestTrain Station, Number 8 features rooms in Canterbury.

The suite I had booked was small and cosy and absolutely tidy, with a comfortable bed and no noises to be heard in the bedroom at night. In the bathroom, there was a rainfall shower and a sufficient number of towles of all sizes, as well as different kinds of products, like soap and shampoo. Check-in was easy and Laura was very helpful, when there was a problem. Number 8 is close to the High Street, so you have all kinds of shops, restaurants, tea rooms and coffee places nearby. And it is only a five minutes walk to Canterbury Cathedral.
