We were recording in King Studio, so the location was excellent. The staff in the hotel where really good and the rooms were comfortable, with the availability of proper coffee on request (free). There is plenty to see and do in the area. good choice of supermarkets close by, great for self caterers We ate at the Waters Edge on site and longlands hotel, The Lunesdale Arms near Kirkby Lonsdale. We visited Levens Hall and Sizergh Castle, both worth a visit, however people with mobility problems would struggle with the many stairs in both of them. The gardens at both places are magnificent.

There are plenty of places to eat breakfast, lunch and dinner. There is also a big supermarket, Booths, where you can get all the groceries if you wish to cook. We had breakfast at Elodie's which was big and inexpensive. Dinner at Avanti was excellent with good food and service.

It's in an ideal spot to visit the south lakes and towns of Lancaster and Morecambe. We actually went to a funeral at Beetham crematorium which is just 6 miles north. Not far from M6 so a got stop off point to break your journey north .

The Longlands is not in the town of Carnforth, it is located at Tewitfield Marina nearby. Tewitfield is in the countryside, close to the Lancaster canal with some great walks. I can imagine that there is a lot going on in the school holidays and weekends, alongside the marina with a good atmosphere. It is in close proximity of the M6 and A6 making it accessible to the South Lakes and Morecambe bay. We drove through Carnforth it is a busy town on the A6

Loved everything about Tewitfield Marina. Booked 2 apartments for a group of friends for the weekend of 4th to 6th November. Location was fab. Views incredible. Right on the marina edge. Spent Saturday walking at nearby levens Hall. Saturday night booked a table at the longlands hotel. Food and service excellent and to top it off fireworks. Excellent facilities at Tewitfield and we are booking a few more trips for this year and next. My new go to place for a cheeky weekend away catching up with the ladies.

The location is excellent as it’s a very short walk from the station. The hotel was closed when we arrived but there was a number to call and we were let in immediately. The rooms are around the back in a separate building and we were quite happy with the arrangement. We didn’t have the breakfast as we preferred to have a late one but I did have a look and there wasn’t much choice so I’m glad we didn’t pay for one.

This is a beautiful house which is maintained in excellent condition and very comfortable. The Host was great and made us feel very welcome. She made a lovely cooked breakfast and could not do enough for us. The value was very reasonable too. All in all if we needed to stay in that area again then we would be very happy to book this hotel again.
