We’d have to say the accommodation was the best self contained property we have ever stayed in, there was everything we needed and more with added extras! Lovely and clean. Home from home even with the recliner sofa for weary legs. Excellent communication from Bev.

The accommodation was perfect 3 adults and my dog. 3 good sized bedrooms great kitchen dinner a comfy lounge. Everything you need is provided. Along with 2 bathrooms which was brilliant Location was perfect for us as we explored both west and east coast. Everywhere we wanted to go was within 1 hr drive. I had an accident that broke one if the shoe racks at the point of leaving 😪 and after informing owner was met with a very positive response (thank you) would definitely recommend and will be back myself next year.

Good restaurants - Red Panda Chinese, Balti King Indian, Calli Pizza. All freshly cooked tasty food. Also highly recommend the chip shop. Parking easy and free after 4pm. Tesco handy for supplies and petrol cheap there. Great location to get to attractions

As a holiday cottage, No1 Manorcombe was small and could have been better equipped (see longer review). Callington and the Tamar Valley are gorgeous and packed with family friendly activities, (from archery and canoeing to the fabulous Eden project). We would definitely come back to the Tamar valley, and perhaps even to Hornicombe Manor Holiday Village but if we did, we would be careful to book one of the larger, better appointed and better equipped chalets.

Nice area, nice view but only if you’re in the right lodge .

Nice area, nice view but only if you’re in the right lodge . Nice indoor and outdoor pools, the pub on site serves pub fare food but was good. Beware some of the properties are accessed by steep hills, the water pressures not very good especially during high demand

Lovely house in a lovely location.

Lovely house in a lovely location. We stayed for a wedding locally so didn’t use any in site facilities. Did have trouble finding initially as the postcode took us somewhere else but soon overcame this. Lovely property

    Callington is a small town.

Callington is a small town. Many shops close early or only open on certain days. Coming from 24 hour London it seemed an irritating inconvenience at first. Then I remembered as a child of the 70s and 80s that life used to be like this, early closing and Sundays off. So it was, a trip back in time to a slower, quieter and less stressful time, and I enjoyed my stay there. AJP Taylor would be proud.

Lovely aspect, views towards the distant river Tamar, south facing sunny outlook, we were very lucky with the weather so used the outdoor area to relax in the evenings. Extremely well equipped and tastefully decorated.
