What a little gem of a property on the edge of the Lakes District. In a lovely, quiet little village, felt so safe, wish we could have stayed longer but had already pre-booked further accommodation. Would thoroughly recommend this little gem to a couple or even if travelling alone. Very good value and well equipped tiny cottage. Unique.

Last stayed at this hotel in Sept 2020 mid covid, bathroom smelt of bleach, limited service. This time what a difference, the change from just keeping open to much happier place. Staff very helpful, smiles on faces. Main reason for stay mid point on way home from Skye, but biggest reason really needed a soak in a bath after 11 days of just showers. Aching body after all the walking / climbing.
Room clean & airing, large bathroom, bed really comfy. Breakfast really good, buffet style. Had extra menu if just didn’t want what was on offer. Staff welcoming & would have the time to chat, even the chef come over for a chat.

The accommodation was beautiful and in the most peaceful surroundings. The hosts were friendly, welcoming and could not do enough for us. There was information about the area and we enjoyed a fantastic meal in one of the recommended pubs. The beds were so comfortable and it was so warm and cosy. We had the best visit and will definitely return. The facilities were wonderful and there was a lot of attention to detail which made the stay so comfortable and enjoyable.
