The food was lovely, the price was great value for the food and drinks available ( some choices were out of stock or off the menu that day which was disappointing.
But didn't stop us from enjoying our food or drinks.
Breakfast was lovely
The room was nice and clean ( needs a bit of tlc like skirting boards painted and the bathroom re-grouted) but the bed and pillows were very comfy and warm room

Spotlessly clean, comfortable rooms. We had adjoining rooms with our children, which was great. We ate at the hotel in the evening and the food was lovely.

Bucknall was fairly run down, with a lot of closed shops in the centre. There are lots of speed cameras on the roads.
We went to the Intu shopping centre which was suppose to be open till 8pm but everything was closed at 6pm.

This was a great find and had a very high rating and I can see why as the rooms and house were clean and tidy and to a good standard. A very basic breakfast is provided on a self-catering basis which is expected for the price. Sadly, for me, the bottom room that we stayed in had a door that led straight into the kitchen area, without any soundproofing so we could hear any noise. I do hope that the landlord invests in noise reduction strips at the very least to ensure that people can have a good sleep or to not be disturbed in that room.
