Liz was really welcoming and friendly, phoning me a few days before arrival to check if I had any special requests which was really nice. Our rooms were spotlessly clean, the beds and pillows very comfortable and the shower was lovely & hot. We had breakfast which was also nice with a selection of cereals, yogurt, toast & cooked breakfast if we wanted. As a coffee addict, I was very happy with mine and the fruit display was just lovely. The location was a good base for us to visit local walks and gardens, with a short distance to Watchet which is really pretty, largely due to the harbour and steam train.

The Cowshed is situated near Clatworthy Reservoir in the Brendon Hills. This holiday home has 1 bedroom and 1 shower room, plus free WiFi. Taunton is 16 miles from the holiday home.

Booked this as part of my partner's 60th birthday present. He absolutely loved it..it was so peaceful, and the view amazing. We used the hot tub twice during our stay. It's wood fired and Matt showed us how to use it. Hut basic, but adorable, we had what we needed. Breakfast hamper lovely. Great sausages. We would certainly go back. Bed was so comfy. Electric shower, so always hot water for washing. Was hoping to get a sunset pic, but the first night it rained, so we were asleep before dusk, and the second night we took a train trip, and it was dark when we got back ..maybe next time! Anything you want, you just contact Matt. Host was friendly and accommodating. Couldn't find the bins, but no problem, we just brought the rubbish home. We had a visit from a friendly pheasant. All in all, very enjoyable.

The studio was better than expected. On top of being adjacent to a pretty and well kept garden, where you can see the birds stealing strawberries, there is a private outdoor seating area with a small table have a morning coffee/tea. There is a particular attention to detail in this accommodation; every thing is labelled with instructions for use, there is a protocol for fire safety, an extensive guide on things to do in the area, board games were provided, there is a smart TV and even a HDMI cable is provided in case we wanted to project. Every little detail was greatly appreciated. The accommodation itself is located in a small town but is not very far from the coast and other very scenic points in the area. For the price you pay, it is an absolute steal.
