Breakfast was amazing. Room was clean and comfortable. Plenty of tea and coffee in the rooms. View from restaurant over the sea is gorgeous. We had a street view from 3rd floor and that was still nice.

The instructions were spot on and I had no difficulities getting into the property. The room and ensuite were clean and everything was presented well. There is a coffee machine and fridge with fresh milk suplied and porridge pots, bananas. I particularly liked the chair and footstool where I could sit and read. The tv has access to streaming apps including netflix, Disney +, iplayer and Amazon Prime. The icing on the cake was the bath.

Broadstairs was perfect for our walking holiday. We stayed at The Bay Studio 2, Leybourn Rd. Perfect accommodation and location. A nice walk along the coast into town. Great restaurants. The Charles Dickens has an upstairs restaurant with a fantastic view. We had lovely oysters at Kebbells. Nice walk along the beach (at low tide) into Ramsgate. Great views.

We love Broadstairs!
We love Broadstairs! Beautiful beaches and quirky shops and cafes. We had a gorgeous, mainly flat walk with a couple of gentle gradient hills ( and step free) along the cliffs to Ramsgate. Was v enjoyable and there's a little cafe midway.
We had a lovely dinner in The Charles Dickins Pub ( great seaviews from upstairs) Bleak House is striking but unfortunately not open to the public as privately owned. There is a Dickens Museum though next to the pub. Check opening hours as shut Monday Tuesday when we were there.

Broadstairs is a friendly seeside town which boasts a variety of beaches. There are many lovely restaurants, as well as a couple of ice cream parlours to choose from. As it is quite compact, everything is easily accessable. We enjoyed walking along the coastal path up to Joss Bay to visit the lighthouse and the famous chalk stacks. We also had fun at the minigolf park!

Returning to Broadstairs after 15 years was a journey filled...
Returning to Broadstairs after 15 years was a journey filled with nostalgia and pleasant surprises. The town has seen some significant changes, particularly in its beaches, pubs, and restaurants, but it still retains the charm that I remember from years ago.
One of the highlights of my visit was spending time at Viking Bay. The beach has always been a favorite, and it was wonderful to see it again. It’s as picturesque as ever, with its golden sands and the iconic jetty. Whether it’s a leisurely stroll or simply soaking in the coastal views, Viking Bay remains a true gem.
The Charles Dickens pub was another stop that didn’t disappoint. Stepping into this historic pub felt like a step back in time. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, just as I remembered, and it’s clear that it remains a beloved spot for both locals and visitors. The Royal Albion Hotel was also on my list, and its timeless elegance is still very much intact. The views from the hotel are breathtaking, and it’s the perfect place to relax and take in the beauty of Broadstairs.
Overall, Broadstairs has evolved in many ways, yet it still feels like the town I fondly remember. The mix of old favorites and new additions made for a memorable visit, and I’m already looking forward to my next trip back.

My husband and I have just come back from the most comfortable stay at the Devonhurst. The host Kaz and Matt were excellent hosts and offered such an A-class service which was more like 5 star treatment with great attention to detail! We felt as though we were visiting family! That’s how they made us feel! The breakfast was the best selection of choices I have ever experienced. Thank you so much for your wonderful hospitality Kaz and Matt😊
From housekeeping, through to the bar, restaurant , reception and spa staff all were courteous and efficient. Restaurant food was first class and our room was extremely comfortable. An added touch was some complimentary biscuits as well as hot chocolate in addition to the usual tea and coffee. Hotel is only a 6 or 7 minute walk to Broadstairs seafront.
Needed somewhere to stay for one night. The Crown Bar & Guesthouse came up on an Google search. Great location just a little off the sea front in Broadstairs. The room that I had used shared bathroom but that wasn't an issue with me. Other rooms have private facilities. A friendly welcome on arrival.
If you are planning to stay in Broadstairs, there is no better location. It is literally in the hub of the activity and overlooks the coastline. It is a very pet friendly hotel and the breakfast was faultless, (slight delay due to being busy aside). No hesitation in recommending.
The location, the amenities, the room, the staff, the breakfast all were to a very high standard. And all at a good price. When I head back to Broadstairs Number One will be where I'll be staying. Would definitely recommend this hotel.
Location is absolutely fabulous for the dog. Huge area of grass at the front of the hotel for dog runs. Convenient access to beaches. Coastal walks to Margate and Broadstairs.
