The place excuded home and that you are welcome. The view from the bedroom was amazing. The owners accommodated the needs of the guest : the breakfast was really lovely and ecologically sound! The bed was very comfortable. There's a great pub just 5 minutes away. This is a place to rest.

It is a small village with a local pub so its adequate to use as a base or for a single night travelling through.
Ideal for walking trips or if you wish to have a quieter stay travel to the surrounding areas, nothing is too far away.

Charming country village, very quiet, great countryside to walk and view. several nice Inns in the village. and near byYou will need to be careful with the roads as they can be very narrow which sometimes means reversing to the last passing place. this is no place for large vehicles and caravans are definitely out of the question.

The Wheatsheaf was a few minutes walk and had an extensive menu. We were close to Sizergh Castle (NT) and a short drive from Windermere, Grasmere, Coniston and Grange-over-sands. Roads were narrow in Brigsteer but that added to the beauty of the village!

Brigsteer has a fantastic Inn called the Wheatsheaf ( food marvellous). The location is good for accessing Kendal, South Lakes and national Trust properties. Quiet roads on narrow lanes in residential village.
Lovely full English made to order. Lots of choice of cereals etc too. Stunning views. Dog friendly and loved that there was a secure green area next to hotel to let pup off the lead.
