Bridgnorth is a pleasant market town with a number of historical buildings. It also has a very unusual cliff railway- the only inland example of it's kind in England I believe. But we didn't see any of these this time, although we have in the past. For me, this time, the main attraction is the Severn Valley Railway, a very well-run heritage line running for over an hour southwards to Kidderminster.

Thriving market town, interesting shops, lots of places to eat and drink. The funicular railway between high and low town is fun and inexpensive. Whilst we were there we went canoeing on the River Severn with www.canoeuk.com which was a great experience, fun and good value for money. Bridgnorth a great place to stay, for a weekend getaway!

Bridgnorth is in two parts a low town and a high which can be accessed easily by the Bridgnorth cliff railway. The Severn valley railway goes from Bridgnorth to Kidderminster and is well worth a visit for a day.

Good town with plenty of shops restaurants and bars Friday outdoor Market. Lots of history to explore having to levels of the town Great location to visit surrounding areas. Have visited numerous times for the day but stayed overnight in one of the many pubs offering accommodation which gave us the opportunity to explore more. Also great for steam train enthusiasts.

Staff really nice. We enjoyed the breakfast. The room was plenty big enough and a good tea/coffee tray provided and also iron and ironing board. It's great there is parking especially for the hotel as it's a tricky area to park in. Also near the river and the cliff funicular which will take you up to the High Town for £2.50 (tickets lasts 24 hours)

Good location from a central point of view to Bridgnorth town centre, it's amenities and places to visit. All were within easy walking distance. Accommodation was beautifully renovated and although the kitchen was small it had everything we needed for our weekend stay. Beds were very comfortable and the wet rooms in two of the rooms were excellent.
