The room was a good size. And comfortable. They had a very good dog attitude. They allowed well behaved dogs, most places. They had a good sized garden to let the dog stretch her legs. The staff were kind and very helpful and accommodating. Breakfast was excellent. The house and garden are both well presented with good parking facilities.

For the price paid (thank you booking.com Genius pricing), this place was faultless - offering exceptional quality and value. Its a 15th century coaching house, with first class accommodation in the converted stables. Everything was just so - with oak beams, large bathroom and monogrammed towels! The accommodation even had its own small lounge. Absolutely nothing to fault. The gaff is a restaurant- not a pub - but the bar area, and restaurant itself, was very olde world, but without ever being twee. The staff were decent coves too. It's actually an Aga based carvery, and the pricing was stunning - we got a three course meal for fifteen quid! Fear not veggies - there are ample veggie options, and there is a full non-carvery menu too. The food and drink is remarkably good for the pricing. As I said up top - we couldn't fault it.

I think Bridgnorth and a wonderful town, absolutely fascinating, historical and colourful.
If you're fairly mobile you can walk round the town easily. You can take the Cliff Railway up and down to the River Severn, walk also beside the river; either side of the river. Lots of things to see and do.

Bridgnorth is a beautiful historic town, convenient for visiting the Severn Valley, the Ironbridge museums and the Severn Valley Railway. Daniel's Mill is a lovely place for a light meal or refreshments in an idyllic location. A ride on the Severn Valley Railway is a relaxing way to enjoy the scenic Severn Valley. The Ironbridge museums are well worth visiting.

A lovely, clean, friendly, vibrant and bustling little town.
A lovely, clean, friendly, vibrant and bustling little town. Nice to see no run-down or empty premises. The views from the High town are spectacular, as are the walks around the castle gardens and the quirky streets both in the town and leading to the low town. The funicular railway is a must. Shops and eateries are in abundance which ranges from coffee, breakfast, light lunch, takeaways, cheap bites to formal dining. The Castle inn provides delicious home cooked food in an inviting cosy traditional pub with low beams. Bridgnorth is well worth a visit, but be warned - you'll want more than a day trip here to sample all it's delights !
Shining Star on Cartway is absolutely beautiful and a wonderful place to stay. Ideal location for both high town and low town. Lots of pubs, cafes and shops nearby and a short walk to the river. The property is immaculate and spacey. The courtyard is just wonderful and has an amazing view of lowtown and the river. Would highly recommend staying at Shining Star. The hosts are fab and left a lovely welcome package at the cottage for our arrival.
We spent a Wednesday night here as we wanted to explore Bridgnorth. The location is excellent as its fight in the town centre, with the added bonus of parking for residents.
The room was great and spotlessly clean.
we don't usually bother with breakfast but as its included we had it and it was very good. We will be returning. Oh and they had some great Holdens beers on the bar too.
Only had breakfast, there was ample choice available, hot and filling, not rushed to vacate table which I appreciate. Only met with two staff, both courteous and pleasant. The room was more than adequate, if we were to revisit and stay longer I believe the service would be excellent throughout. Perfectly situated for both countryside and town centres
Very smart, located in low town near river crossing so easy access to high town. As only an overnight stay we were able to have a room with 2 twin beds ( which were very comfortable) and a sofa bed. Good breakfast served by very pleasant staff and permit parking worked well as carpark behind hotel. Lovely outdoor courtyard area.
We stayed there for 1 night but also ate there as we had a family get together. Carvery was amazing and great value for money. The staff were so friendly and could not do enough for you. We will definately go back and recommend this to anyone wanting to stay in a country location. Just a few minute drive from Bridgnorth.
The location is great for exploring the town. The car parking for guests is really handy. A full English breakfast was served to our table which was good although my wife being a vegetarian felt alternatives to that were rather limited. We would possibly use this hotel for another short stay in Bridgnorth.
Great Breakfast, comfortable room, location right on town centre, easy to park, friendly staff and very friendly proprietor, spotlessly clean, tv in room, bathroom white and bright, fan in the room if its too hot.
Rooms immaculate, staff very friendly and most helpful. Food was well presented and tasty. Parking on site and a 10-15 minute walk into the town. A fan was supplied which helped in the hot weather.
Really enjoyed our stay and hopefully will use you again.
The flat was very clean and well presented, loved the design.
I'm a Bridgnorth girl and this was so handy for visiting my family.
We stayed in a studio - petite but fully functional and very comfortable. Town centre locations means road noise but glazing and secondary glazing cut all that out. Very comfortable.
