It was a great location with lots of parking. The bar and restaurant have a great selection of food and drinks! And the staff was absolutely wonderful and checked in with me multiple times after my experience in the place I was meant to stay. I ended up chatting with locals in the bar which made it feel super homely.
Very nice place and lots to see. We went to Brechin Castle it was nice and good cafe it does meals tea & coffee & cakes & sandwiches of all kinds a lovely cafe. Plus it has a shop and garden shop. We were only there for an evening as we had traveled from Dunfermline in Fife and took in the sites locally before heading to bed and breakfast for 4pm. We visited the local golf course restaurant in Edzell which was a great find and beautiful food. We left at 10am the next morning to travel to Arbroath and surrounding areas.

We loved the area. It is pastoral and near the sea.
We loved the area. It is pastoral and near the sea. Lots of castles and history. Just far enough from Aberdeen for a true country experience. Montrose is close and lovely! Getting around the area is very easy, and we would definately return again. Great for walking about or jogging too!
The beach in Montrose is wonderful for children especially. and dogs are everywhere and well behaved if you have a pet!

Brechin is a small and quit place.
Brechin is a small and quit place. Visited Cathedral which was impressive. Staff and punters in the two pubs I visited were friendly as were staff in hotel.
I had a slow puncture while I was there and angus Tyres sorted in very quickly and cheaply.
My main purpose was a football match. Ground is small, neat and tidy. Stewards and staff were very welcoming and helpful and evening was warm & still.
Excellent facilities, including kitchen utensils (only missing a colander). Spacious with three double bedrooms and two bathrooms (one with a bath and one with a shower). Easy check-in (key safe). Very clean. Lots of sockets. Modern decor. Not overlooking any houses from the living room (you can see gardens and woodland beyond). Handy location for Brechin Train Station (heritage railway). Host gave plenty of information about key collection, car parking etc.
Located in a nice little town (Brechin). The room/house was clean and quiet. Breakfast was superb and Agnes was very accommodating for our arrival. Was a great place to get away from the 'city'. Agnes was the best part of the stay, reminded me of spending time with my own grandma.
Beautiful decor, great location and a fantastic breakfast.
The owners couldn’t have been more helpful and welcoming. Nothing was a problem and they made our short stay very enjoyable. We will definitely be back again and hopefully stay for longer in order to see more of Brechin.
Agnes was very welcoming and we were able to park our T6 camper outside the house. The room was lovely and Agnes was happy to make whatever we wanted for breakfast, at a time to suit us. Brechin was lovely for an evening stroll, with places for an evening meal.
My room at the Northern was spacious and bright. I had two meals there, both delicious, and the adjacent pub was friendly and lively. All members of the family who run the hotel and pub were cheerful and very helpful. I would definitely stay there again.
We were visiting Brechin to attend a murder mystery event at the Steam railway. The house was perfect as it was within short walking distance of this location. It was very clean and met all our needs. We had a lovely stay - thank you!
Location for us was good. Just across the road from the bus stop. Close to the "shops". Restaurant staff very help full and polite. Food very good and a good amount. Good mix of Thai and british. Hotel clean and pleasantly decorated.
Great welcome, very clean and tidy, massive bed and comfy chairs to relax in after work. The breakfast was amazing and on the table right on time every morning without fail. 5 minute walk to centre of Brechin.
Agnes was accommodating for two people on bikes. Her breakfast is outstanding and the house is immaculate. This was one of my favorite places to stay in Scotland.
