I have previously stayed at this hotel and will quite happily stay again. The actual location of the hotel is very good, right next to Nottingham Castle and is very easy to get to. The room was reasonably standard, with the main exception being there is no air conditioning. This could be an issue if staying peak summer and the temperature is high, but for when I normally visit late summer / autumn like is wasn't a problem. Room was quite large, with sufficient room for the inclusion of a sofa which was nice to use to view the TV when in the room. Bathroom was clean and tidy, actually had a proper bath installed which was a nice bonus, but obviously there was also shower fitted. If anything the bathroom was a little small, probably due to the inclusion of the bath but was perfectly acceptable for my needs. Breakfast was as expected. Usual selection of different types of breakfast food, from cereals through to full English. Restaurant area was okay, but if really busy it could seem a little crowded. No problem staying here again.

Value for money. Bonus of nice swimming pool available to use until 8pm. Right next to shopping village. Friendly service and really comfy bed.

Stayed elsewhere as had bad experience on previous visit. No cancellation policy therefore left me out of pocket.
Friends have had mixed experiences, some felt it was "OK" others also booked elsewhere.
Problems relate to poor maintenance and cleaning. It's cheap so probably fine if it's purpose is to have somewhere to crash after booze but even then it's a bit of a gamble depending on the room you get.
The staff are very friendly.
