I quite liked the tidiness of the rooms. I also liked the area, it was a nice location to drive around.

This is a review of Shipley, not Bradford. we didn't go into Bradford itself. Shipley is a very busy little town with lots of through traffic. It is well situated for visiting Saltaire Village which is a World Heritage Site. The Mill houses the Hockney exhibition but note it is closed Mon/Tues. For a great pint and pizza visit Salts Brewery, not to be confused with Saltaire Brewery which is the other end of town. Plenty of buses locally and good train service into Leeds and Skipton. The bakery in Saltaire is great. Try the Jamaican slice. Even if you're not veggie it's delicious. Be prepared to queue as it's always busy. If you want a cheap but good breakfast go to the little cafe in Shipley Market. You won't be disappointed. Plenty of character. For a very good reasonably priced evening meal try Sambuco Italian. Two courses for £11.95. But you ,must book in advance, It's very popular. Also, for a heritage visit take a drive or get a bus to East Riddlesden Hall. It's a fabulous site dating from 17th century. It has a delightful cafe on site.

We were there for a concert at St Georges Hall which is a lovely old fashioned concert venue but have been several times before for short stays. We enjoy staying in Bradford and it is a good base if you have a car to visit many attractions which are nearby. We have always found the people very friendly and will go back again soon for a longer stay.

Bradford is 2025 city of culture.
Bradford is 2025 city of culture. Right now its a building site as money flows in to try and regenerate a city that is poor and broken. The city center is historical yet tiny - I did it in 20 minutes and another 20 minutes for the German quarter which is basically 2 roads. Unless you are here to see a show at the IMAX or Alhambra there isn't anything to do per se in the city center.

Easy to locate from the major motorways.
Easy to locate from the major motorways. Lots of traffic easing and non-complex traffic systems. Although traffic (it was Saturday afternoon) the traffic flowed and the views around the City are just immense. You have the multi-cultural delights of the city or for just a short journey you are quickly in Bronte County and the scenery is just out of this world. Lots of things happening also, so you are spoiled for choice. Great place and will return.

I stayed at Hollins Hall to attend the Ilkley Tennis Tournament. It was about 8 miles away. It was used by some players and coaches. I had stayed there when it was owned by Marriott. It was nice then, I would say now that it is a little further downmarket ( number of coach tours use it) but for the price it represents good value.
The one thing I really like are the number of lounges, soft seats where you can take a drink to relax and not feel that you are in a busy loud bar.
Holiday Inn Express Bradford was exactly what we needed for the night. We went to see a concert at the Piece Hall and all the hotels in Halifax were booked so we came to Bradford for the night and we were really pleased with the hotel and the ease on the train to/from Halifax. If we go to a show at the Piece Hall again we will use this hotel again.
The staff were all so friendly, helpful & accommodating
the property was clean tidy and set out beautifully! the staff were lovely and welcoming. I booked this for my partners birthday and it definitely made out weekend special. the overall experience was amazing and I would highly recommend these apartments to anyone looking for a delightful stay in Bradford. definitely one of the best hotels/apartments I have been to before!
We quite frequently stay at the Ibis in Shipley as for us it is quite central and very convenient for Leeds and Bradford. We know the surrounding area very well as we both originate from this area and therefore the Ibis hotel is just the ticket.
Best night sleep I have ever had in a hotel. Bed was huge and comfy. Thought traffic noise may both me as I am a super light sleep but it didn’t.
Loved that we could get the shuttle bus into Bradford and back after evening theatre visit.
Beautiful hotel in the perfect location for seeing Bradford. Love the Victorian architecture inside the hotel has the feel of stepping back in time and is very grand! Spotlessly clean huge bed and extremely comfortable!
