Lovely staff, very clean and very comfortable. Impressive breakfast selection. Easy to find and parking available onsite. Walkable to restaurants and pubs, generally close to town. It's an expensive area to stay so although not a cheap stay, it is good value for this area

Our accommodation at Isla Rose Cottage was like a mini-suite. Comfortable bedroom, nice bathroom and cosy seating area. Good quality bed linen and fluffy white towels. The property was spotlessly clean. The microwave, toaster and kettle together with a great range of crockery, cutlery and glasses meant we could have stayed a week - and we were so comfortable we wished we could have stayed longer than one night. Although located on a main road we were not disturbed by traffic noise and had a great night's sleep in the most comfortable bed of our tour. Off street parking was useful. However the star attraction was the extensive breakfast Filip produced for us. It was beautifully presented selection of fruit, meats, cheese, tomatoes, rolls, bread, jams and syrups - together with fresh scones, pancakes and a selection of prepared fruit (not shown in my photo). There was a great range of teas, coffees and fruit juices. Cereals and yogurts were also available - if you had room! Without doubt the best breakfast of our tour. Filip was an attentive host, interested in our travel plans. He devised a route for us to take in all we wanted to see over the following two days and suggested additional attractions that we had not thought of. We'll definitely be back and stay longer!

Blairgowrie is a lovely little town, but there seemed to be a lot of evening boy racers around the town, making lots of noise. There are plenty of takeaway and food delivery places available, as well as sit in restaurants.

A well appointed town with good large shops on the outskirts. The old town centre is a bit run down, but pleasant enough. There is a lovely walk from the town centre along the river bank. Staying in Blairgowrie gives access to attractions nearby. Everything we wanted to see was within 30 minutes drive. Not a highland town, The highlands are 30 miles north.

The Lodge is a short walking distance to all facilities in town. We had lunch at The Dome (good traditional home cooked food, excellent
cakes and coffee). Evening meals - there are Chinese, Indian and Chippy take aways which we did not try but looked busy. We had a nice meal at Little's restaurant and a cheap one in Wetherspoons which was OK. There is also Angus Hotel for meals which we've used previously.
Nice walk along the river and back into town. Easy drive to Scone to walk the Quarrymill trails and enjoy the Macmillan Cafe and Scone Arms Hotel for lunch. In Spring nice trip to see the Ospreys at Loch of Lowes and Dunkeld & Birnam.

Return to Blairgowrie after 20 years since previous visit.
Return to Blairgowrie after 20 years since previous visit. Couldn't believe the amount of new houses. Lots of changes in the centre too. The town is very central for driving out and about and there are several pubs and restaurants in the outlying district.. Would recommend The Old Cross Inn in Rattray, the Ardler Tavern and the Alyth chip shop.
Also thanks to Halfords for finding the cause of my car's slow puncture and fitting 2 new tyres.

Blairgowrie is a little sleepy town, that really benefits from the nature that surrounds it. There is a lack of quirky cafes, however you can find couple of nice restaurants nearby. Excellent location for exploring Scottish countryside.
Was self catering.
Location, size of cabin, cleanliness of cabin. Location was stunning. Loved the restaurant and bar. Hot tub was very good in that it was hot, not warm like so many of them. The cabin was very nice especially the bedroom. Shower, cooker, toaster etc all excellent. Car parking very near to cabin. Cabin located next door to restaurant. The hotel is expanding which will provide more options for cabins.
The room was fresh and the property was very clean. The continental breakfast was a substantial meal. Millie was a delightful host. Plenty of room for parking and, although just out from the centre of Blairgowrie, it is in a good spot.
The hotel was a perfect find because we wanted an extra night. It was charming and top quality evening meal and brilliant breakfast on site. Gorgeous interior and garden to enjoy the sunshine. Cannot be faulted!
Lovely hotel, nice big room with newly refurbished bathroom. Bar and restaurant looked lovely but unfortunately the bar closed at 9 on a Sunday so we weren’t able to try it out
