Location was nice, busy road but scenery out back fabulous. Lovely meal, piping hot and tasty. Room a little tired but clean and comfortable. We would stay again. Bar staff chatty and welcoming.

Great location for coast to coast walkers.
The landlady was amazingly helpful when we arrived early, soaked through and cold - she got our room ready quickly, dried our wet coats and boots, made sure we got dry, warm and fed.

This is beautiful old English pub in a lovely village. Superbly renovated. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful.
