Fantastic breakfast (à la carte + buffet), beautiful park - the most beautiful of any hotel we’ve ever been too. Practical family rooms, clean and spacious.
Just 1.4 miles from the town centre, Crowne Plaza Basingstoke has a gym and a carvery restaurant. Access to the M3 is just 1 mile away.

The location was well situated near the motorway but not so close that noise pollution invaded the room and created difficulty sleeping or any other discomfort. Only a short walk to Basingstoke town centre for breakfast, lunch and dinner and also to have a look around the town and shopping centre. The room was larger than expected, very modern, nicely decorated and clean. The bar area on the ground floor was well decorated, clean, the staff were really nice and helpful and the whole hotel had a really nice atmosphere.
On the edge of Basingstoke, Hampshire Court Hotel & Spa is a modern 4-star hotel with an award-winning restaurant and brasserie bar, as well as leisure facilities, including 2 indoor pools.

The quiet surrounding location was close to where we needed to travel to over the 3 days we stayed.
The gym staff were a great help and the gym was nice.

General manager extremely helpful in sorting out a late breakfast as meal times / restaurant opening hours did not suit times needed to be at the hospital.
Reception staff very helpful and pleasant.
Very convenient for hospital which was the main thing for us

Lovely little annex attached to the hosts house. Carol was very welcoming and attentive to showing us our accommodation. The annex has its own entrance and own small patio table & chairs outside of its French doors. Holds everything you would need for your stay. Comfortable bed and a good night sleep was had. The breakfast, provided in the room, was a great addition. Cereals, Bread, croissants, butter, orange juice, water, yoghurts along with tea, coffee, sugar, sweeteners and biscuits to fill up on each morning.
Will definitely book again when heading down that way again and happy to recommend to friends and family.
Thank you x

The hotel is situated within easy reach of the M3 and also Basingstoke. And I feel it was reasonably priced

A great mixture of old and new: new shopping mall cleverly melded into "old town". Very well looked after and litter-free. Lots of indoor activities especially for children and young families.
Excellent range of properties for folk wanting to settle there (with good access to London).
Lots of road works but probably a passing phase.

We didn’t really explore locally, but rather used it as a base to explore the whole area. It’s just a touch over an hours drive to the south coast, to Bath and to London. We visited Estates with some of the best art collections outside of London, the National Auto Museum, Wisley Garden, rode bikes in the New Forest, played disc golf, visited the Safari Park and much more. There’s a good pub 10 minutes walk away and a huge grocery store about 10 minutes drive away. Perfect!

Basingstoke was a surprise for me...I hadn't expected it to be so full of art & culture. Every available space it seemed to me had been brought to life with a variety of paintings ; poetry ; lighting etc The streets were clean ...plenty of litter bins...hardly any graffiti...people seem to take a pride in their town, which was great to see. I rejoiced to see a market place being used and numerous independent shops as well as a vibrant shopping centre. There are also a number of well maintained green spaces - Eastrop and Glebe Gardens fir example.
I didn't have occasion to use the bus service but did use the railway station and went to Salisbury , Whitchurch and Romsey.
The Ring Rd is a bit of a challenge but at least the roundabouts are named , which is useful! There is easy access to the M3.
I went self catering but found a really nice coffee shop on the way to the station- I think it is called Willow Tea Room ...it is near the statue of the Bluecoat school boy!
It is multi cultural so you are spoilt for choice re eating out. The shopping centre is bright, clean and vibrant.

Very basic hotel that could do with updating. Dirty coffee spoon in bedroom. Dinner only had once, poor quality so eat out in other restaurants, luckily plenty around within 5 mins walk. Internet very poor, could not use I Phones and on laptop very slow so hard to do work in eves.
Staff very nice & friendly

Due to train problems, I ended up needing a last minute stay in Basingstoke. I found this hotel and it was all I needed for one night. Having noone on site is a bit strange at first, but it was clean and had all I needed for a night. I didn't get the key code for the room immediately so phoned the hotel management who were very helpful. It's only a few minutes' walk from the centre of the town and very convenient. If I needed an overnight stay in Basingstoke again, I would definitely go back.
Absolutely blissful stay though it's not in Basingstoke, it's in Dummer and connectivity through bus/public transport is not great so a good option only if one has a car. Martin & his wife were perfectly welcoming, sweet and helpful! Room was in a great condition and washroom was super clean. Lovely guest house situated in the countryside, and great views! 👍🏼
I have stay at Wessex House a few times now.
It has always been, clean and quiet.
The bed is comfy as is the room.
There is even a selection of bits for a breakfast, to see on your way in the morning.
Wessex house is a short 10 minute walk to the centre of town for all its amenities.
I will be back when work brings me to central Basingstoke.
Lovely clean and comfortable room, with very comfortable bed. Nice choice for breakfast, all tasty! Good location for what we were going to be doing. Good local taxi service (booked by the hotel) with very pleasant drivers. All members of staff very pleasant, friendly and helpful - they sorted out any queries very well.
The spacious shower & complimentary toiletries were a real treat. Great choice of food for breakfast from the buffet. Access to Sky in the room was a much appreciated added bonus (my stay was over the Isle of Wight Festival weekend). The Hotel is a real asset to Basingstoke. Hotel grounds nicely kept.
Lovely property! really unique with large bedrooms, nice building with parking right outside and bedrooms at back so quiet in the evening. decorated nicely and everything you need to relax and cook a meal, cheaper than booking 2 hotel rooms and way more space will book again.
The staff were great. Special mention to Adam and Sarah who were friendly, polite and most helpful. It was no trouble at all to store our bikes safely. The hotel is well located for a stroll into town and close to eating places.
Everything was perfect. The guests were so friendly and patient. They made me feel so comfortable all the time. And the location in Basingstoke is excelent. I will definetely return if I ever come back to Basingstoke!
Very friendly and helpful staff, good location, iron and ironing board supplied in room, comfortable bed, great breakfast, well presented hotel and furnishings in communal and dining areas
The location was just outside the city of Basingstoke. carpark in front of the house. nice room with bathroom.
tv available. Owner is very friendly and very helpful.
