Views from the rooms, from the dining room and from the lounge, are unbeatable. Perfect place for me.
In the Lake District National Park, Inn on the Square has a central location by Keswick’s market square. This family-run property offers Scandinavian-style design combined with Cumbrian elements.

We stayed in Keswick for the beer festival, and the location could not have been better! The breakfast was amazing and Laura could not have done enough for us, from staying late to meet us, to arranging a late breakfast for us as we were doing the parkrun at 9am. She was a diamond!

One of the most beautiful valleys in Lakeland with walks for all types. Don’t miss Castle Crag a magical baby fell right in the Jaws of Barrowdale, take a circular walk to the village of Watendlath, and enjoy good pubs or tea rooms in Grange, Rosthwaite, Stonethwaite and Seatoller. The newly opened Yew Tree pub in the latter is a welcome stop on the Coast to Coast national trail. Explore Barrowdale, Honister Slate Mine and Buttermere on the local bus rambler. For the more ambitious start your climb up Scafell Pike from Seathwaite

Handy base for Keswick and the North Lakes.
Handy base for Keswick and the North Lakes. Just there for a family meet up but had time to visit Aria Force / Keswick / Ullswater and surrounding areas. Very busy as the lakes always are but didn't detract from the visit. Only a 2 hr drive from home & 20 mins from Penrith junction on the M6 so easy access. Recommended area to visit and if you stay a reasonable time you could cover all of the Lakes & many of the attractions.

Borrowdale is a beautiful valley whichever way you are looking at it and there are numerous paths all around the hills and mountainside to suit everyone. There are some lovely hotels serving food and drink in the valleys which are easy to walk to or a short drive to them.

Fantastic hotel in just the right place to most of the treks in the area, the hotel was perfect inside and the bedrooms were very comfortable and very clean and modern. The evening meal was amazing and so was the breakfast and all reasonably priced. All the staff were great.
I could go on about how perfect this hotel is but ill let you find out for yourself.
I will definitely be going there again.

Beautiful setting to get away from it all.
Beautiful setting to get away from it all. A walk up Glaramara and Bessyboot from Stonethwaite was delightful as was lunch at yew tree cafe in rosthwaite. If staying in the area i recommend you have dinner in your accommodation as the road to keswick might be challenging at night (very narrow, bendy and unlit)
