I did the Loch Lomond 10k in the morning and they let us have a late check out so I could have a quick shower and change afterwards. Very much appreciated.

Lesley was a lovely host, friendly and welcoming. The little extras (sweets, biscuits and fruit) were really appreciated. The farm is so peaceful. We really enjoyed our stay

Lovely wee toon.
Lots ongoing. KILT-WALK w/e.
Helpful locals.
Clean and tidy streets.
Pubs, cafe’s and shops doing a great trade.
Many outdoor facilities to choose from.
Shopping outlet by Loch Lomond a brilliant place to visit. The wee eaterie by Pavers Shoe shop is great for food, drinks, people watching, views and a good venue for men, when the ladies go shopping 😄.
This wee toon was rammed with walkers and “Kilties” ( people assisting the walkers and doing a great job of traffic management etc. keeping pedestrians and drivers safe , throughout the whole w/e ).
Outstanding wee toon.

Beautiful scenery on the walks to Loch Lomond shores, if you can get on the boat tour then I would definitely recommend, so tranquil. The Tullie Inn is directly next to the train station and across the road is the boat trips booking office. We’ve stayed here a few times. Pleasant staff, cosy, comfortable and clean spacious rooms.

We have stayed there before. Like where it sits on the Loch.
We have stayed there before. Like where it sits on the Loch. Easy access to parking. Staff are all very friendly and helpful. Food good and great variety. The only downside is there is no sitting area away from the restaurant at night. Could do with a little bar to have a quiet drink before going to bed. You can easily access anywhere else in the Balloch area.

Didn't spend a huge amount of time in Balloch bit did a Loch Cruise with Sweeneys which was very pleasant. Also took a walk through the Castle Park and saw a Red Squirrel there, park is beautiful too which also has a walled garden. Lots of places to eat in Balloch and big Coop open 7 days a week until 10pm

Apart from the House of Fraser shopping centre there was not much else. Ideal for walking an=round the area but the town itself is in need of investment as it was pretty shabby, poor example of the gateway to Loch Lomond

Still discovering xx
Small pharmacy, gift shop too
Need more shops
Excellent host who was willing to fulfil our special request of a very late check-in - a request that we found very hard to accept by other hotels or guest houses doing in-person check-in in that area.
Fantastic breakfast menu you can choose from the evening before. Even better the taste and quantity of served meals we were not able to finish.
We had a very short but the better stay at Gowanlea Guest House I would recommend to anybody. If coming back to Balloch and surroundings, definitely going to stay at Gowanlea again.
Very, lovely friendly staff. It's great to have kettle, tea/coffee and sink in the bedroom. Separate shared bathroom looks to have been recently upgraded, which was nice. The room itself was nice and big so plently of space to spread out. Was warm too so didn't need to worry about extra bedding or anything like that. It sounded like everyone really enjoyed the Karaoke in the bar downstairs on Sunday night. Balloch is a lovely little town, was great the hotel was close to the train station and easy to find.
We could not have asked for more! Sheildaig Farm was absolutely perfect. Our room was so well-appointed, from the breakfast/coffee/tea/snack provisions (which supplemented the cooked breakfast) with fresh fruit and chocolate to the little fan for some extra air movement to the little hotel slippers. Comfortable true king bed. Lesley and the precious pups Ellie and Penny were so welcoming and friendly. Gorgeous adjoining field for walking and taking in loch views. The property is absolutely idyllic.
Loved, the garden, didn't expect to see so many birds and rabbits from the balcony, comfortable bed, everything you need to enjoy your stay, fancy TV with Netflix, Prime/Disney etc to keep you entertained in the unlikely event of rain 😉
Walking distance to the duck bay hotel if you fancy a short walk to a restaurant or cafe.
Great location to explore the area, would definitely rebook in the future
Friendly host, apartment is well decorated and you should find everything you need to enjoy your stay!
Perfect location in Balloch straight across from the tiny train station and close to all things nearby. Loch Lomond is just a quick walk away. Amanda is a superb and very warm, welcoming host who goes beyond to do everything to help her guests. Breakfast was good and plentiful and the rooms were all lovely and clean. Definitely would recommend staying here for anyone.
We booked BurnHowf as we were attending a family wedding in the Cameron House hotel and were delighted we did. Everything about it was excellent, from the close, walking distance proximity of the hotel, through to the cleanliness and excellent facilities on offer. We will most certainly book again with Drumkinnon Lodges. Thank you for the perfect stay.
Location is fab, and the facilities are great. Lovely touches (a special welcome in the room as it was my partner's birthday) and the staff all friendly and helpful. The bars and restaurants we went to were all great and the hotel shuttle to the spa was great. Breakfast was the best hotel breakfast I've ever had, but does get busy.
Great location, very close to the beach, train station, restaurants etc.
The apartment was very clean and the garden was great for the kids. Thank you for the chocolate brioche - kids have loved it!
The host was very welcoming.
If we are ever back in Balloch would be looking to stay at Bellavista again.
Highly recommended
Clean, comfortable, good sized bedrooms, plenty of wardrobe space.
Location excellent, especially for a stroll up Balloch. Near to the train station. Only a short walk to have a boat trip round Loch Lomond. Handy for the supermarket.
Well kept spacious private back garden with a lovely seating area and bbq.
breakfast was served quickly and hot the room was cosy and very clean excellent showering facilities . Had dinner on our first night and it was excellent had to compliment the chef Balloch country park at the rear of the hotel all and all a really enjoyable three day visit
Very comfortable room; we had the family room which had 2 Queen beds and 2 Twin beds, 2 bathrooms and lots of open space. Hotel has a restaurant on site, but is also walking distance to more. Great hotel - highly recommend.
We really enjoyed the location of this hotel! It's very convenient to walk to restaurants, Balloch Country Park, and the train station which was great for us. The bed was also clean and comfortable enough for one night.
The host was lovely and the breakfast was generous and delicious! We appreciated the clean, cozy, and spacious room with bathroom. The area was nice and quiet, and close to the National Park. Would recommend to anyone!
Comfy bed and spacious room! Super helpful staff and friendly locals in the pub downstairs. good food and drink selection. Loved the location next to the park and within walking distance to Balloch Castle!
A lovely new hotel in the middle of Balloch. It's close to lots of amenities and the rooms were spotless. Very powerful showers and the Hotel accommodated all my requests for a large group.
Lovely hotel, lots of character with a touch of modern in places, ideal location near lots of activities, good food, very friendly staff always happy to help
