Always our first choice for accommodation in Aviemore - great rooms with lots of space, comfortable and always clean and cosy. Big comfy beds, great shower after a day outdoors! And the mini fridge in every room is really handy. Always superb value for money

We requested three rooms close to each other as we were travelling as family group.
We were given three rooms in three different part of hotel with confusing corridors like maze and no proper signposting.
Receptionist seems to be in rush and didn't have patience to address my concern when I asked him about how to get into hotel rooms and raised concern that I have kids travelling with me and I wanted rooms close to each other.

Planned out accommodation- bathroom and cloakroom seem very new and clean. Forgot to mention there a couple of bikes for use by guests although we didn’t use ourselves..
The hosts seem to have thought of everything.

Amazing place in summer.
Amazing place in summer. Clouds, mountain, green surroundings and local restaurants, everything is exceptional. Small city so a short 1-2 days stay is sufficient. Tesco and Aldi are nearby railway station. Easy train access from Galsgow.

Really tidy and comfortable beds.
Really tidy and comfortable beds. The location was perfect, walking distance from the centre and the walking and cycling pathway.
The only bad thing was the water was warm for only a few minutes causing the rest of the family to wait for the boiler to reheat but it was still cold even after that

I liked the central location of the Highland hotel and the activities for the children. The Winking Owl Aviemore is by far the best place to eat. It has such a huge choice of dishes at reasonable prices and great choices for celiacs and vegans. The staff at the Winking owl are lovely and there is a great atmosphere.

The town situated within the Cairngorms National Park in the Highlands of Scotland. There are beautiful views of all the mountains, forests and lakes. Not far from the legendary Loch Ness, it's hard to spot a monster. Amazing fogs.
The hotel is a old 'modernised' Inn in the Victorian times and that twee charm has been retained. The room although a single had everything in it that I needed. Lovely ensuite bathroom looks very new. The breakfast was really good, quality ingredients cooked very well (steady on, on the bacon though :)) It's a lovely, quiet setting overlooking the loch Albie? Very friendly, attentive staff. The owner was very accommodating very late booking/check in so I was grateful for that. I hope to return on my visits to Aviemore!
This was a good place to explore the nearby area, which was what we wanted. Even though the bathrooms or one bedroom are on the smaller side, they were perfectly functional and we enjoyed our stay there. It was pleasant to sit in the living room in the evening or on the little terrace after lunch when the sun finally came out. I cooked our meals and the kitchen was equipped with everything I needed. It was a great place for the three nights we had in Aviemore.
We were in the lodges this time and decor is very very tired. Big, clean lodge but just needs modernised (thread bare carpets isn’t appropriate for a £300 per night rate)!! Now been to Highlands & Aviemore hotels and still enjoy Aviemore as a location. Glad the swimming temperature is better in summer as very cold when we usually visit in January. Breakfast lovely and resort entertainment crew excellent, especially Rory!! What a hoot.
Hotel was beautiful, staff were very helpful approachable and friendly, couldn't fault the service, food was amazing rooms were very clean and stunning, stunning views from our room and we had our children with us which they were very accommodating for. Will definitely return here we had an amazing time!
The hotel was spotless and the bed/ pillows were so comfortable. The hotel is in a great location right in the middle of Aviemore close to a variety of activities. The food is amazing as was the breakfast and the staff were so friendly and welcoming. We will definitely be returning

Pleasantly surprised.. Hotel was more of a resort. Very clean, staff helpful. Only half hour walk into Aviemore. Food was lovely.. Entertainment was good. Woodshed bar outside was a good setting. Loved our stay.
This was a very mixed stay. The hogmanay package was fantastic! Entertainment team were brilliant, food was lovely and everyone had a great time. Service in hotel and restaurant was very poor. Facilities great!
Beautifully decorated, luxurious apartment for four people but with enough space, crockery etc. to entertain more, if required. Great location in Aviemore with many nearby shops, restaurants etc.
My kids loved everything about Aviemore. The hotel.. the swimming pool..the breakfast 😋 the activities..the staff..the lil shops around town..ice cream shop..sweetie shop..
The suite we had was great for three. The bathrooms had high quality fittings. The hotel is well-situated for exploring the town. We really enjoyed our stay.
Comfortable room and good breakfast. The hotel building is much better than most in Aviemore, and the location just opposite the station was brilliant.
