Tynycornel Hotel, hotel in Arthog

With a magnificent location, surrounded by the stunning natural beauty and dramatic scenery of the Snowdonia National Park, the Tynycornel Hotel looks out over its own 222-acre fishing lake.

Our room overlooking the lake was wonderful. Very clean and the bed was soooo comfortable. There were sachets to make hot chocolate in the room - great for me because I do not drink tea or coffee. Breakfast was excellent (more hot chocolate too). Plenty of parking. Helpful staff. Beautifully kept mature gardens.

This charming inn dates back over 450 years, and still retains numerous original features like beamed ceilings and a blazing log fire.

The evening meal and breakfast was excellent. It’s also a 2 minute walk to the start of Cadair Idris mountain. Really enjoyed my welcoming stay.

As it rained we stayed in and watched dvds and played bored games which were all provided in the property, which I thought was a nice touch .We woke in the morning to a red kite hovering above the field outside 😎
