Onich Hotel & Lochside Beach Pods, hotel in Appin

With dramatic mountain views and a stunning loch-side setting, this family-run hotel offers attractive, individually decorated rooms and beautiful gardens.

I had two nights in the hotel. Beautiful Location and the weather was kind to us. I didn't eat at the hotel other than a breakfast which was buffet style and plenty of choice. The hotel looks a little dated but is nice enough inside and has a lovely decking area off the lounge/restaurant. My single room was fine and bathroom looked like it had be recently upgraded. All in all enjoyed my sta.

The view is amazing! Really amazing! The Rooms are clean, comfy and large with good quality linens and comfy large beds. The breakfast is very good indeed. The host is really helpful and friendly and gives great service. Nearby there is The Old Inn which is great for evening meals, but needs to be booked ahead. There are various cafes along the road and in Glencoe.

Our holiday intentions were to paddle board the loch and this place did not disappoint. Great views and easy access to the loch. The lodge has a balcony on two sides which we used to dry our gear for the next day. Walks around the property and nearby nature reserve on an evening, and a pub serving good food just along the road. We are already considering a return, it was that good. Highly recommend a stay here.

I've travelled over the west coast of Scotland many times over the years for work and leisure purposes . The most recent years was on motorbike tours basing ourselves in Oban. I always liked the coastal road from Oban, through Appin towards Glencoe . I remembered thinking what a great place to base ourselves for a outdoor holiday. There is so many local activities available to keep yourself busy but you really need a car. The Creagan Inn was our local and was so welcoming and the food was fantastic.
