Hinds Head, hotel in Aldermaston

Situated in the village of Aldermaston near Reading, this beautiful red brick building dates back to the 1650s.

The nicest stay I've had in a long time. We were met by lovely smiley staff, who were professional and accommodating. The car park was full, and there was a local music festival on, but you wouldn't have guessed from the service. We started with some cocktails, coffees and lunch. All were fab. The food came really quickly, and the plates were a good size. Our room was lovely, the shower was powerful and streight forward to use. The only reason I put 4/5 for facilities was because the bedside lamps didn't work. I personally would use a lamp when going to bed over the main light, but everything else was perfect. There was complimentary coffees and tea in the room which was really appreciated. It wasn't basic coffee either, which made our morning. Breakfast was included, and it was the best free breakfast I've had. I would stay here again, recommend anyone and I will be using it for business trips if needed in the future. Thank you for a brilliant stay. Please pass on my gratitude to staff, it makes a huge difference to be served by happy faces.

De Vere Wokefield Estate, hotel in Aldermaston

Set in 250 acres of landscaped gardens, De Vere Wokefield Estate boasts leisure facilities including a swimming pool, a gym, an 18-hole championship golf course, event facilities as well as an outdoor...

Room was fine; a twin-bed room on the ground floor. The pool was excellent, albeit a bit busy on the Saturday afternoon when we used it. Sunday morning breakfast was very good and we encountered an exceptionally helpful member of staff who found us a quiet table. Later a very helpful young member of staff (he was c20 years) produced a free cup of coffee before we left which was greatly appreciated. There was a real sense of space in the interior public areas and very pleasant places to sit outside.

Beautifully finished little apartment. Lauren and Jamie have thought about everything you may need for your stay. From large fluffy towels, quality bed linen, toiletries through to all types cooking and serving utensils. For us though, it’s the hosts themselves- so kind, helpful and thoughtful. They even took us to our concert and arranged taxi back later. Makes for a wonderful stay, so much better than a faceless corporate hotel. Thank you

Everything. Literally everything. The place is incredible, the staff are so friendly and looked after us extremely well. The rooms are so well designed and I actually had the best rest I've ever had in a hotel when I stayed here. The bar is great, the food is phenomenal. If I could give it 11out of 10, I would!

Great hotel in a lovely village. Staff were friendly and helpful. We arrived late Tuesday night and both staff members went out their way to help and a beer at the bar was most welcome after a 3 hour drive! Nice touch having the drinks in the room too.
