We love your bar are the two gentlemen on duty that night we’re just spectacular. We had been told no dinner table until 7.45 but did not advise us we could eat in the bar…….Tony took care of everything. Alex was also very prompt with requests and polite in our dealings. Great evening meal.
This charming family-run hotel has a great restaurant and a wonderful, peaceful location on Whitby’s West Cliff, near the seafront and within walking distance of the town centre.

Very quaint old property with loads of character! In the most perfect spot you could wish for . It’s a basic room that we stayed in but had a shaker and a bath which was very welcomed after the walking we did , basic tea and coffee with a kettle. We also witnessed the pagan ritual of John barley corn must die which was interesting
Small town with friendly people. Walk down The street in the village, nice older farms and churches, pub, to visit. Walked down Egton Road and picked up some brambles, sat on a small bench to absorb the amazing views, listen to the birds chirpping, watching cyclits passed by. Simply refreshing. We will go back again for sure.
