My spouse and I enjoyed the bigger room and bathroom with annex TV area. The small kitchenette with fridge, microwave and water cooker had all we needed. Breakfast was included and was nice with croissants, bread, homemade jams, yoghurt and fruit. The charming owners went out of their way to please and make us comfortable. The new A/C in the bedroom was definitely a bonus. The parking area inside the gate was spacious and obviously secure. We were even allowed to leave our bikes and bike carrier inside the garage while visiting the many local castles and towns by car.
We enjoyed our visit at the B&B. Our host, Catherine, was warm, welcoming and made us feel at home. Catherine was willing to make a home made French dinner the night we arrived but we arrived too late (let Catherine know in advance your arrival time so you can partake in the home made dinner). The B&B was in a quiet neighborhood and a short, easy drive to several chateaus in the area. There were many good restaurants in the area but make reservations in advance. We didn't, but Catherine found a restaurant with availability and we were able to have a very good, authentic French meal.
Our room was the entire top floor of Catherine's home, it included a nice bedroom and a setting room with a TV. The home was nicely decorated with lots of art and whimsy. Note, the stairs to the upper floor were narrow and unprotected, they weren't a problem for us but I can see where elderly or handicapped may have an issue.
What an amazing place! A few minutes from the lovely town of Blois and within easy distance of some stunning Loire castles, the Moulin de Vineuil is the perfect place to stay. Beautiful building surrounded by trees, lawns and water, it is extremely tranquil. Delphine and Sébastien are gracious hosts, and provide abundant information about things to do and places to eat. The rooms have been recently renovated and have large and comfortable beds. The perfect home base to explore this region, will definitely be returning in the future!
The hotel is located down a very quiet road in the forest by the river. It was lovely. The room was very tastefully designed and decorated. It was clean (although the floors felt a bit dusty). And the floors in the room are very slippery and extremely squeaky. You couldn't walk from the bed to the bathroom during the night without waking everyone up because of how loud the floors are. That said, everything else about our stay was nice. Friendly hosts. Lots of French pastries and jams for breakfast.
bed was comfortable with plenty of pillows. Kettle and coffee/tea things in the room was good.Door from bedroom into garden area was lovely I was able to sit in the sun outside my room in privacy [I had a ground floor room at the back] Parking easy and there are parking spaces at the rear of the hotel so I was able to carry my bags directly to the car from the garden door without having to trail through the hotel. Staff were friendly and efficient.
Nice hotel we used as a stopover on our way home from Spain. The room and bathroom were huge. Our dog was made welcome and the hotel is in a lovely area so we could take her for a walk locally. There is a restaurant on site and we had dinner there which was nice.
The staff are polite. We stayed for 2 nights and the staff cleaned our room and gave us fresh towels. The parking lot is spacious. The hotel is 17 mins from Chateau Chambord and 10 mins away from Blois city centre
The brekfast was xcellent. Buffet , help yourself. Food was again excellent.
