The location on the lakeside is spectacular, we sat and had a beer from the hotel bar next to the waters edge, lovely.
The evening meal was nice but a bit fussy for us with numerous starter courses. The breakfast was great with plenty of choice.
L'Orchidée is set in the centre of Lassay and offers a bar. The holiday home is in an area where guests can engage in activities such as fishing and hiking.

Madame was lovely. Scrambled eggs from the chickens on the farm was lovely, each morning. Very rustic apartment, but charming. Gardens are beautiful and Lilly the dog was great, as we took our little pup Peanut with us. We loved the location but for some people, the area doesn't have much. There were no local shops etc. We drive, so there was no problem. We absolutely loved our stay there and will return again. The chateau was spectacular . The interior beautifully restored and the grounds well maintained. The chateau is in the middle of stunning countryside… close to some lovely villages and of course Le Mans. Plenty of good places to eat…all recommended by the chatelaine

Accommodation was comfortable cosy and spotless. Our hosts were welcoming, friendly and helpful.
Food was fresh and tasty.

Its a small hotel and at first seems a little higgledy piggledy but in fact its very straightforward, generally for car drivers as you can park outside your room. Staff were really helpful and friendly, and breakfast was really well done as a buffet style, but really nicely stocked and laid out. Rooms were very comfortable, felt they had been done up fairly recently and bathrooms were well equipped and spotless. Loved the desk set up and excellent wi fi for being on the road.
Breakfast limited ate better at Ibis hotels for half price. Room was really impressive but 50 Euros too expensive. No instructions for TV or hot tub - in any language!? Reception & bar staff no English - sheer amateurism for a quality hotel!
As per my last review - a decent and comfortable hotel well-located for my work-related needs (I travel all around NW France) - by far the best place between Mayenne and Alencon.
A small hotel with nice character, very friendly and helpful staff. Room was nice and spacious. Breakfast was nice. Overall very relaxed atmosphere would cone back.
