The rooms are modest but clean and beds are comfortable. Nice little patio with chairs to sit outside and enjoy a glass of wine amongst the quiet of the village. Pool is a little old and they were cleaning it when we visited but water temperature was nice in mid-June. The restaurant on site is absolutely incredible. Huge portions of local, traditional food all made in house. The family that runs the hotel and restaurant are very friendly and accommodating.

Beautifully restored Monastery Hotel, stunning location and family run business - very welcoming. All the meals were exceptional. A real treat. We are on a cycling tour - the lane around we’re very quiet and we had a lovely ride between chateaus and small villages.

Avenue de la Gare was one of the nicest places my parents have ever stayed. The buildings were interesting and the owners were so friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was delicious and the bed was incredibly comfortable. My parents said that they want to come back and stay for longer next time!
