Lacklustre. Didn't even clear a spot sit down for breakfast outside in the courtyard. Breakfast was OJ from a big carton and some pastries they'd knocked up. Whilst they seem convivial, their Booking.com description painted a picture of rural bliss and harmony. We weren't expecting HE Bates type existence but we expecting a little more than what was given. Maybe it was the end of the season....but now i'm making up excuses for them I think ? I slept wetland the rooms had a wonderful rustic charm in a house which was nestled in an ideal rustic french setting in a vineyard with horses. Very peaceful....but deffo lacking service and substance. If they'd said not breakfast but simply room only....I think I would have walked away more content ?!?

I was attending a family wedding a few miles from Vidauban so I didn't really spend any time in the town but from what I saw it was very pleasant and I understand that there are regular fiestas on during the summer months. It is within an hour of Nice and Marseille airports and convenient for the coastal resorts of St. Tropez and St. Maxime.
Surprise. The place is awesome.

Beware if you look for some sort of fixed hotel comfort, because it is not like that.
Some flexibility and appetite for surprise are necessary. And it is indeed more of an experience than of a regular spa/comfy hotel
2 Kingsize-Beds and this in France, where small Dooble-Beds seems to be normal! We've got a typical french breakfast with fresh Tartine and frech Croissants. In Switzerland it's called poor, in France it's perfect....
