Very nice and well kept property in a sleepy, country village. The common areas, room and bathroom are spotless, and the beautiful gardens feature a nice swimming pool and farm animals for children. Cornelis, the host, is welcoming, sociable, and friendly. He made us feel comfortable and right at home from start to finish of our short stay.
Situated in Fontenoy-le-Château and only 36 km from Epinal Train Station, lovely apartment, gite, visit the vosges france features accommodation with river views, free WiFi and free private parking.

I enjoyed a warm welcome from Alan and Ina to their self-renovated holiday flat with its gorgeous views from kitchen and terrasse over the canal and river to steep cliffs behind. The flat is beautifully furnished with nice touches and has everything one needs. The kitchen was fully stocked, sitting room was comfy with books and a TV, the bathroom and bedroom squeaky clean. Breakfast included fresh bread from the local boulangerie. I much enjoyed the red wine kindly left by the hosts and did not get an 'angover. :-) Great stay. Next time for longer, I hope.

Not simply a genuine old farm (with cattle), but about a 100 metre walk to the centre of town. Best of both worlds, although the town is very small (but it has a boulangerie, a restaurant or two, and a supermarket).
