Viviane is one of life’s angels. Nothing was too much trouble to make our stay truly exceptional. The village was charming, with winding streets and buildings beautifully preserved since the middle ages. We used it as a base for exploring the area by car and enjoyed our visit to the Alpha Wolf Park and some nearby villages. The ski lift at La Colmiane got us high up into the mountains for wonderful views and a trail walk. Given more time we would definitely do more walking in the area.
A La Belle Époque is a beautiful bed and breakfast in the mountains which delivers more than it promises. The location is superb, with views over the valley and mountains, the rooms are beautifully decorated in ‘la belle epoque’ style, and the breakfast is very good, with home made marmalades and eggs from the property.
Best of all is the warm welcome and hospitality.
Valdeblore is only 70km from Nice and is well worth the journey for a change of pace, the clear mountain air and a stay at A La Belle Epoque.
There are these stays that you will not simply forgot. This is one of them. If you look for 5 Star Hotel ambiente you are wrong. If you look for great homemade food with an unforgettable evening, you are right.
I think is awesome what our host put together. It makes one think ! Having every evening different guests is very brave and surely not an easy task. I like their initiative and the way the offer "value for money" accommodation. I wish them luck and success - will come again, if I am in the area.
Classy hotel with very friendly personnel. The room was pretty and comfortable. Breakfast was pretty good. The restaurant is good as well. But most of all: the views. Wow!
