First impression on arrival was very positive. The building is truly stunning, as is the garden. Second impression: delightful reception welcome, and really interesting and historic games room and lounge. All the public areas were stunning. And then we got to the bedroom ... It was fine, but wow it was a step down from the rest of the hotel (it really did feel like a different hotel). Suddenly upstairs it felt like an old-fashioned 1980s pub. The contrast was jarring.

This was such a beautiful building; enhanced by the friendliness of the hosts Denis and Catherine.

Lovely French style house and Florence is a very warm and attentive host. Really nice breakfast and we really enjoyed our stay.

The location is excellent, the host is incredible kind and nice person, willing to help in anything you need. I had to take the train next day but was a strike from the train station workers so Alain drive me to the next city to take my train to Bordeaux and take my flight in time.
