Location overlooking lake was excellent for us. Only issue is having to drive into St Pardoux for an evening meal, where both restaurants impressed. (Can do 20 min walk to campsite restaurant when it's open, I guess further into season.) House is tranquil, very nicely done inside and with terraces and fruit trees. Parking is tight as others have said. Good breakfast and hospitality is above and beyond. Thank you Carolynn and David !

We loved the chateau, in particular the original decor and authentic furnishings that Sharon has used to furnish the spacious and romantic bedrooms. There are clearly many challenges in restoring a historic building, but Sharon has overcome these and Les Villettes is a gem of a place and not to be missed if travelling in this area. We enjoyed a breakfast of scrambled eggs, fresh fruit, croissants and home made conserves which was all delicious and served in a beautiful dining room. Recommended sans reservation!
