Location perfect for cycling. All considerations were given to cyclists. The hosts Philip and Valerie were so attentive and wanted to make sure your stay was comfortable. Restaurant staff were excellent. Food provided was brilliant and I’m a fussy eater! Safe secure parking provided, storage for bikes and the ability to tend to your bike for cleaning, maintenance etc was all available. First hotel I’ve been in where I’ve not had to lock my bike or even store it in my car or room. Very quiet and restful ambience after a long day in the saddle.

Saint Savin is in the middle between Cirque De Gavarnie and Pont D'Espagne/Lac de Gaube -- two spectacular parks. It's very small and lacks tourist infrastructure. There are larger towns and villages more accessible and affordable than Hotel Les Rochers where I stayed in order to visit these two parks and the holy city of Lourdes.

We had a good time in saint Savin.
We had a good time in saint Savin. The hotel is in an ideal position for a variety of trips to different locations. The dining room is lovely and the bar is comfortable. There are also various tables outside to have a drink. Which are reasonably priced. It seems to be popular with cyclists who wish to be able to follow their favourite Tour de France mountain stages. They seem to enjoy this but don’t always reach the top! ( they may be reading this, sorry)
Very helpful owners who were able to advise on various trips we planned. Good breakfast and nice entering meals.
There is a restaurant 150 yds away “Viscos” which is expensive but very good but the dining room is not as good as La Rochers.
Beautifully appointed common space with lovely plants and flowers within and outside the hotel . Outdoor terrace provided a comfortable place to have a drink and read. Pictures do not do justice to the hotel. Saint Savin is a lovely village with a 12th century church and a fantastic organ. IHosts are very accommodating and helpful. One of us was not feeling well and they did everything they could to help us. We are very appreciative and would surely return.
The house was perfect, everything is very new and finished to a really high standard. The house was extremely clean and is fully equipped with everything you could wish for. Set in the lovely little village of Saint-Savin with spectacular views of the Hautacam. Cathy was a great host and very helpful, there was a welcome gift of a bottle of wine and local Pâté for us on arrival which was a lovely touch. We will definitely return in the future
We had a fabulous 3 night stay with John and Jane at Les Rochers in early July. Breakfast, dinner and the accommodation were all exceptional and great value for money. The Hotel is very unique and Jane and John were fabulous hosts and went out of their way to make our trip so successful. From the Room to the restaurant, the comfy bar and beautiful garden terrace - the experience was super.
Nice little historical hotel in an adorable mountain village! Very good location! Right in the middle of this fantastic little, historical place! Parking was pretty good. Dinner at the hotel restaurant was FANTASTIC, AMAZING, WONDERFUL!! Should be a Michelin 1 star, at least. I love bread and they never let my bread plate go empty. Attentive dinner staff. Comfortable beds.
The staff is really warm and nice. In my case they went beyond as I was dumb enough to leave a pair of shoes in the room :( and they agreed to ship it to my next hotel before I left the country.
Their breakfast is good and with a very lovely and nice vibe. Their bar is beautiful with very good taste decoration that makes you relax and enjoy the little details they put together.
On arrival were shown to a room in the annexe, brand new room, lovely and spacious. We then realised that the shower drain was blocked and flooded the room. We were then moved into a room in the main hotel. Room was spacious but needed upgrading, especially the bathroom. We had breakfast and evening meals in the hotel. The meals were excellent.
An excellent family own and operate hotel. The staff is friendly spoke good english, breakfast was tasty, the bistro own and operate by the family was very good.
The lady at the reception offer us a choice between two options and helped my wife to carry her suitcase to the first floor. The room was pleasant and the bath is renovated.
I recommend this hotel for the calm environment in a charming village, the kindness of the owners, the cosy decoration, the perfect cleaning service and the amazing breakfast and diners (very diverse and delicious). I appreciated the chill jazz music in the restaurant and the proximity with the excursion pathways.
The hotel was beautiful, run by a lovely family, and in a gorgeous little authentic French village. The breakfast and dinners were amazing. The room was very nice with comfortable beds and a spectacular view of the mountains. I would love to go back and stay at Hotel Le Viscos again in the future.
Love Love Loved my short stay. The family run hotel is so warm and friendly. So inviting. And the town it’s in is the cutest and quaintest, it’s such a breath of fresh air! What a charming stay. The restaurant is to die for - if I could I would stay there just for the food itself!
This family run hotel is very quaint and eclectic in its design. Lovely rooms and so nicely designed. Staff are very helpful and friendly. Of course the Michelin recommended restaurant is highly recommended and we had a lovely lunch there.
Saint Savin is a beautiful village, located between the area's two attractions: Cirque de Gavarnie and Pont D'Espagne/Lac de Gob national parks. Good quality cotton bed sheet and nice-smelling liquid soap.
Everything was perfect, we really enjoyed our stay and we felt like home due to very good care of the owners. Hotel is very quiet and we also enjoyed the meal -breakfast (also gluten free) and dinner.
We were there for the restaurant more than the hotel. Both were excellent and the views up the valley exceptional from the terrace where we dined or ing and evening
