We stayed for 4 nights. This is not a new 4 star hotel - it is a very old building with all its eccentric characteristics but if you want the experience of staying in an authentic family chateau home complete with its cats, dogs and horses then this is the one. The building is beautifully surrounded by trees and natural landscaping with a good well equipped pool area. Breakfast was served outside most mornings and was very relaxing. From the hotel you can visit many interesting places as well as walking in the surrounding area. The host Isabel was very welcoming and we would recommend the chateau for anyone looking for an authentic French chateau experience. Thank you Isabel for sharing your wonderful home in a truly magical place.

Fantastic location, right in the heart of the village of books - the room even looked out on to the bookshop. The owner was delightful - welcoming and relaxed. Parking was free anywhere in the village, just a short walk from the accommodation. Loved the spacious room with its wooden floors, the writing desk and the armchairs for cosy reading. Great shower too - and a little fridge which was very much appreciated. Would definitely recommend.

Very nice, well equipped apartment close to the amenities in the small town of Bram which has all you need. Very reactive and helpful host. The location is ideal for visiting Carcassonne and the surrounding area as there is a station just a short walk from the apartment. We enjoyed our stay here.
Such a beautiful place! Amazing building staying on the grounds of the Abbey which is incredible. The hosts were really lovely, delicious breakfast with home made marmalade. Room was very nice with big window that opened onto the huge garden. Good ensuite with a good shower. Kettle with tea and coffee in the hallway to help yourself.
It's a really cool area to explore too, Montelieu is a lovely little town.
