Domaine de Marculfo is a hidden gem in the middle of Normandie countryside. It is perfect for visiting the D-day beaches but also a strategic link between Normandie and Bretaigne. The property is elegant and chic; the internal decors, fine forniture and the overall athmosphere convey tranquillity and peacefulness. The room was large and confortable. Excellent breakfast served in the cozy living room with homemade cakes and typical products. The host was super and has warmly welcomed us into her domaine, making our stay unforgettable!

We were very enthusiastic and warmly received by Mark & Kim. We lacked nothing for 5 days.
The rooms were neat and super clean (not even a speck of dust under the bed!), with good mattresses. Clean and spacious bathroom.
The breakfast was extensive and freshly prepared. Did you have a personal wish, for example eggs for breakfast? No problem, it was simply arranged.
In the evening there was the option to join us for dinner for €15.00 p.p. In the morning Mark indicated what he would cook that evening. And it must be said: the meals were simple but delicious!
Location of the chambre d'hôte is very quiet in a rural area. Exactly what we were looking for. All you hear are the cows. It is a perfect base for visits to the D-day beaches and, for example, Le Mont Saint-Michel.

There’s something quite special about spending the day at the D-Day beaches, then meandering through the countryside to a majestic Château with a storied past. Once occupied by the enemy, it was swiftly liberated by the Allies, and the preserved signage on the wall still proclaims its clearance and safety. Jean Marie, our warm and welcoming host, has curated a haven filled with furnishings that whisper tales of history. Built during the French Revolution, the Château remains true to its era, blending authenticity with comfort and good taste. We loved the plush towels, sumptuous bedding, and idyllic grounds, all set amidst a celebratory ambiance. Breakfast is a delight, and the overall experience is truly unforgettable. We wish Jean Marie a successful and memorable summer!
