The property has a well equipped spacious kitchen. Some of the kit is a little old and tired but all perfectly useable. It was great to have a washing machine, and everything was clean. You need to be fit to stay here, the stairs go up the turret and the bedrooms and bathroom are on the top floor. We loved the church bells striking every hour, twice! The Abbaye is well worth visiting.

The Domaine de Fraisse is located in Leuc, 10 km south of Carcassonne. It features an outdoor swimming pool and offers en-suite accommodation with a garden terrace.

We chose the chateau as we wanted to try somewhere a bit posher than the budget places that we usually stay. The hotel lived up to expectations, atmospheric, interesting furniture, lovely drapes and bedding . Nice sheets, comfy bed. We slept well. It was more expensive than we usually pay, but it was a treat.

Located just a 20-minute drive from Carcassonne in Limoux, Hotel Moderne Et Pigeon was built in 1501 and it offers a gastronomic restaurant.

Wonderful old building with some character features (Grand Staircase with Stained Glass Window). Our room was nice clean and comfortable with aircon (essential in summer). As a whole the hotel was quiet and restful. Although not a problem for us there is no elevator so those with limited mobility should keep this in mind. Inhouse restaurant provided a very pleasant dining experience. Very easy walk to the main square surrounded by many bars, restaurants and a few shops. Main shopping streets run off the square. Free Parking is readily available 200m away under shady trees.

This is a fantastic place to take the kids and get away from the noise and hustle and bustle. From the property in the mountains you can enjoy great views and, if you are lucky, a visit from a deer. The owner is charming and friendly. 100% recommended.
