We know the hotel and the restaurant for more than 40 years, so we knew that old-style place. Unfortunately we arrived on Sunday late afternoon and had to leave on Tuesday morning, so we could not eat in the restaurant. The hotel was so nice to inform us about this upfront. Everybody was very friendly. We consider this place as good value for money.

Really loved the arrival experience, being greeted at the car outside the house, and then directed to the new block where we were greeted again outside and chaperoned in. The food and the ambience of the hotel were perfect. The room was lovely and to have the outside terrace was amazing. The hotel staff friendly and attentive while not being in your face. We eat dinner in the restaurant and had a lovely table by the window and the staff were fun and not overly stuffy.

Breakfast fantastic. Room very nice but access was challenging up several flights of narrow stairs. Air con in the room a blessing. Bed very comfortable.

Value for money. Cheap, so don’t expect too much. Rooms were super clean. The address on the booking.com website takes you out to the middle of a field though. Managed to find it in the end but made me wonder why I had to pay in advance without refund if I didn’t turn up for my reservation…
