All was well except for whatever had to do with service and dinner + breakfast. Breakfast was a disaster. No more food, no personnel to ask to, everyone complaining but close to no reaction. Dinner : main course was cold and we waited for so much time before we could it. I would not recommend this place. Personnel is lacking and is not acting as they should.

We love St Germain-en-Laye with its history, chateau, market place, good shops and restaurants. The beautiful park with its views across to Paris and its flowery gardens which are beautiful in the Spring through Autumn. It is easy to stroll around and admire the buildings. The Musee Maurice Denis, in a former priory, is a short walk from the town centre and well worth a visit.
We had dinner at Chez Lulu in Rue St Pierre and enjoyed a really good meal in a very pleasant ambiance. The service was attentive.
Coffee is very expensive in the town!
We hope to return.

Saint-Germaint-en-Laye is great town to visit for a day or two. As well as the upmarket feel of numerous clothes shops, high quality patisseries and chocolatiers, the highlight is the Le Notre Terrace next to the chateau, with magnificent views of Paris in the distance. Worth going on a market day in the centre. The RER station is next to the Chateau and a 4 minute walk to the Centre.

It is a beautiful little town with a grand chateau featuring a semi-formal garden for a stroll and distant views of the Paris skyline. Delightful shops. Fast trains to Paris and a wonderful market on Friday mornings (and Tuesdays too I think?).

I loved in the Marais in Paris for 15 years and never once visited this beautiful city. After eight years in London I’m returning to France and couldn’t be more pleased to discover Saint Germain en Laye.

The place is steeped in history however,I think you should seriously review the hotel that I stayed in pavilion Henry1V it is not up to standard, and should be avoided at all cost until they sort themselves out.
It is trading on past reputation trying to renovate and asking for top prices asking €390 inclusive of breakfast for my room was ridiculous there are better hotels in the area one of which I stayed in which was superb in the forest and that was €180.
The only thing going for this hotel is its view and it is trading on past glory to be fair I should demand a refund maybe you will be able to tell me how I do that

Based on the price, I was very nervous about the quality of the room…i was blown away. First the staff was amazing. I had issues with my knee and they took my bags upstairs and wouldn’t accept a tip…so very helpful. The facility was clean, updated and beyond comfortable…much better than the room I had in Paris the week before that was 10x’s more. While there are not a lot of choices in SGaL, don’t worry as this hotel has it all.
The location is very good, with a supermarket and grocery stores nearby. Located in the city centre we also found restaurants and bars within walking distance. The apartment is small, but cozy, the bed was comfortable and it has everything needed for cooking breakfast. Perfect for a couple.
We liked the spaciousness and also the helpful, friendliness of the reception staff.
Our room was clean and comfortable, although one more padded chair would have been perfect.
We enjoyed the walk into the town centre and having a boulangerie nearby was a bonus.
Convenient location to centre ville with a beautiful view of the Seine and Paris. A hearty breakfast of cheeses, charcuteries, and eggs/bacon or sausage, and of course, wonderful pastries. Given the choice, this is the only place to stay in St Germain en Laye.
The room is located in the central area of Saint Germain en Laye, well connected with the public transportations, such as buses and RER. The room was clean and rather big, it had all the confort necessary for a short trip in France. The place is recommended
Very cute flat in the centre of st germaine en laye. It had everything you need for a weeks holiday. Close to Paris and Versailles. We loved staying there and would stay again.
The hotel is in a great location with a huge park close by. It was easy to get around the city. We either took the bus, tram or RER all within a short walk from the hotel.
About 400m from a metro into Paris. Saint Germain en Laye is a charming town and this apartment is right across from parking (30 euro per day) and the town market.
The building , Art gallery hotel , well Maintained , attention to detail , last floor room with 3 terrasse, nice French breakfast . We will come back !
