However the evening meal was excellent, very friendly and helpful staff. Plus exceptionally comfortable beds!

A lovely friendly welcome to this amazing, huge French house with an enormous, comfortable bedroom and bathroom. Breakfast was lovely and served in the delightful dining room. The owners are lovingly restoring this beautiful 16th century house to create a truly chic experience for their guests. Thank you. Good place to stay on way down from Calais to the South of France or Spain.
Busy town with square right by the hotel but I think a back room may be quieter in the summer.
Plenty going on in and around the town. Fortress within walking distance.

Local village is lovely, great places to eat and very scenic. The Hotel itself is a lovely old house split into multiple rooms one being a sperate appartment split onto 2 floors which is what we had. The house overall is very characterful and definatley somewhere we would stay again, though someof the rooms have collected a lot more nick-nacks and things than in the current photos.
The Host could not have been more friendly and may the stay that bit more special
The room was lovely & spacious with all the necessary facilities. Private toilet & bathroom. Bed was really comfortable. Easy access using the key box entry. Breakfast was limited but more than sufficient. Hotel is located on a lovely picturesque square with other bars & restaurants nearby. We only stayed for one night as a stop off driving through France, but we may well visit again.
This was a super little hotel to stay at on my way to other regions in Normandy. The owner and his young lady assistant were very friendly and made you feel welcome from arrival. Lovely meal in a quiet and well proposed courtyard setting. I would highly recommend this hotel. Annette dL
A real gem tucked away in a quiet street in Saint-Amand-Montrond yet only minutes off the autoroute making it ideal for our stop off on the way back from Provence. Lovely rooms accessed up a charming spiral staircase, and a wonderful breakfast in the sunny courtyard.
The location of the hotel was beautiful, on the edge of the town, near the lake where there are beautiful walks. The swimming pool was also beautiful. The hotel also offers electric car charging
