Our expectations were low, as wel booked late and it was one of the only things that had a free room.
The hotel was a bit older as was the infrastructure. But it was really nice. Really comfortable and the staff was exceptionally nice. The hotel is in a lovely town that's easy to reach and from which you can easily go to other towns for the Wine-route.

Located in Saverne city centre, L'Hôtel Europe is just 150 metres from the train station. All of the rooms at L'Hôtel Europe feature an LCD TV with satellite channels and a minibar.

Breakfast was excellent. Hotel about 1/2 hour walk from town - would be longer back as uphill. Drove to town - plenty of free parking. Hotel has good restaurant which seemed very popular. The room we booked was quite small so I would book a more expensive room if going again. 29 deg when we arrived but aircon was very efficient.

Good view from the room, which was very comfortable and well appointed. Easy to find, with a little help from the satnav, which was good for us as we had had a long drive that day. Dinner was excellent and we were looked after by a very busy, very attentive waiter who obviously took pride in his work.

Although the breakfast is usually served from 8.00 the service managed to prepare something much earlier (due to my early departure). Very nice, friendly and helpful staff. The place itself is charming, seems like a family owned with long tradition. It is clear that the owners care a lot about the place and cleanliness. I enjoyed much my stay there.

Nice old hotel at a beautiful spot beside a bridge across a canal. The kind owner was waiting for us at the entrance with a smile. We could safely store our bikes in the garage. Rooms were modest but comfortable. The evening meal was well prepared. Breakfast is French, with bread, juice, coffee or tea and jam. We loved the location and enjoyed a good evening stroll, watching the canal and the many boats moored alongside it.
