Patricia and David are remarkable hosts. We were treated to a room upgrade on arrival which was fantastic. The breakfast is amazing and all fresh, locally sourced or homemade. It is served beautifully! The room is huge and wonderfully furnished. The garden is stunning and there is plenty of room to park.

Absolutely loved La Ferme des Bordes. The accommodation is in a two storey wing separate from the owners’ house. It is warm and welcoming (early May) and utterly charming. There is a log burner in the breakfast room and central heating in the bedrooms. Owners are charming and thoughtful. It is incredibly calming, we wish we’d stopped there for a week rather than two nights. Hens and chickens enjoy an idyllic life, you’ll never eat a factory-raised chicken again. For the Chaumont sur Loire garden exhibition, just four minutes away.

The house and rooms were basic, There was nowhere to sit and relax apart from the bed. But this is common in France. Food excelent. Owners lovely. Food great. Price very reasonable given the location for the wonderful Loire Chateaux.
Location in a quiet village with some nice history and between different castles. Staff were excellent and attentive to us and all the guests. Good English spoken. Rooms upgraded and clean. The patio and breakfast area are nice. The evening dinner was very high standard, above what you might expect. Good parking in front of the hotel.
